Bush Didn't Do It Intentionally? From Free Republic |
|
What kind of argument is that?
I, sitting in my own home, without cable, could tell that Bush was going into Iraq way before we ever declared war. Why else was he building up the military over there like he was.
I thought it was just crazy for them to throw the inspectors out and attack. And not wait for the UN
If I could tell that we shouldn't attack - that we had not one iota of evidence of WMD or biological weapons - don't you think that people running the government should have had a clue - CIA or no CIA? That there were horrible dictators that killed zillions of their own people all over the world - and we didn't attack them. That the Middle East is no where to get involved when you don't have a clue about their culture.
So Bush screwed up on 9/11 by not paying attention to the warnings he received by just about everyone. HE DIDN'T DO IT INTENTIONALLY! He was just busy on more important stuff - like tax cuts and cutting back on the environmental issues and stuff.
What kind of excuse is that for a President? He didn't do it intentionally? Four years later, thousands of innocent people are dead, thousands are horribly wounded, the Near East is a huge mess - and his excuse is that he didn't do it intentionally?
Are 50% , well 41% now, of Americans really that stupid? God, that's awful.

But I live in Missouri where lots of people think like that. Lots of blue collar people who really don't have much education - not even high school.
I swear to God, they will believe anything. I think it has something to do with huge amounts of beer.

7. The day the Supreme Court appointed the idiot-in-chief |
|
I told my husband we were going to attack IRAQ. He agreed. They were planning this BEFORE he stole the election.

It was painfully obvious. Has everyone forgotten about all of that stuff that happened before the war? Seems like I don't hear anyone bring it up. We didn't know they had weapons then. The inspectors hadn't found anything. We told them to get out for their own safety because we were going to attack.
That whole time was just nuts.

had been floating around for YEARS. Wolfowitz went to daddy chimp with it...he said he didn't want to touch it. He went to Clinton with it and Clinton told him to take a hike. They found someone they could puppet. The idiot-in-chief. http://www.whitehouse.gov/nsc/nss.html

9. We had to invade Iraq b/c the inspectors weren't being given access |

to the non-existent mobile biological weapons labs, the non-existent stockpiles of chemical weapons (which only threatened the US when used in conjunction with the non-existent drones) and the non-existent nuclear weapons program.

Because we couldn't afford to keep all those troops over there indefinitely waiting for the inspectors to finish.
And what if they found no weapons? Then what excuse would we have to attack. We had to attack before the WMD question was answered.

11. My ass he didn't do it intentionally. It was his #1 priority before |
|
stepping foot into office.
Further, weapons inspectors = INTELLIGENCE, and they said Saddam was virtually disarmed. Bush went RUSHED to war because he didn't like the evidence and preliminary reports by inspectors that said (SADDAM HAS NO WMD)
I think it's time we compile a list of the warnings and press coverage that cautioned going to war because of a LACK of evidence...

15. So I guess the entire outgoing administration lied when |
|
They ALL, from Clinton on down, confirmed that, when briefed about National Security, Bush was only interested in Iraq. The CIA ,FBI and Counter Terrorism Unit all confirm this. And they think Bush attacked without premeditation? By accident? This is a perfect example of a non singing pig. Don't lurk there .These people are not salvageable and you will only be frustrated!
