I'm George Bush and I approv<CLLLLLLLLLLICK>
I am getting really fast with my remote these days. The instant one of George Bush's lies comes on my tv, BAM! I hit the mute button, and I silence the poor fool. I do feel sorry for the people who have paid for commercials that follow Bush's lying ads. I usually forget to un-mute the TV until after another commercial or two has passed.
In the past, I haven't had to be in anti-Republican lie mode until October of an election year, but this year it started in March. I'm now well exercised in Bush muting, and I feel I'm at the top of my game. I'm ready for the October TV and radio ad barrage. Bring em on!

1. haaaaaaaaaaaaaa, me, too
that plick

I click through the Kerry ones, too, though they're almost ALL positive, about Kerry.

isn't it amazing?

and you KNOW it's going to be negative if the chimp comes on first, cause they don't want to have the negative BS associated with HIM, by having him come on last

when it's a POSITIVE ad (when do the fascists run any of those?), he comes on AT THE END, to reinforce the wonderfulness of his leadership

every time, that's how it works

notice that?

3. I do that too, not only with *, but a lot of others.
Unfortunately, my CBS shows I like to watch are on a Clear Channel station and they advertise for talk radio shows like Limpballs and such. Now at noon time instead of local news they run a show with the Christian fundie nuts on. You know what they say; practice makes perfect.

7. I wonder if they have TV zapping in the Olympics?
I even made me a quick draw channel zapper holster to wear around the house! I usually mute him by the time he says "Hi th.." Doink! I can't even stand to look at the wimpy ape, so I hit "Mute" and "Last" at the same instant!

<Cheney>

"You are SUPPOSED to say you aren't responsible for the MESS!

THEN you say I approved this MESSAGE, dumbass!"

<Bush>

"Ok, Dick, I'll get it this time."

<director>

"Ok, here we go, take 36, quiet on the set!"

13. that's why I have my TiVo running 3 minutes in the past...
soon as I chance channels, I hit pause for 3 minutes, then let it go, when I see Shrubya.. 30-second skip and he's GONE!

(and when I see a Kerry ad, rewind-rewind-rewind)

of course, I let TiVo record a lot also.. so it works there also...

14. still ad-free and planning to stay that way thru the election
I do not intend to see a single * ad. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know they're spending millions, I live in a swing state, they're peppering us with commercials, and I have not watched (or heard) a single one. It takes a little planning - can't leave the sound on when I leave the room. If I'm in the room, I also change the channel because I don't have a visual mute, which would be necessary.

It's a small thing, but we all do what we can.

16. The new wing of the party: fast clicker Democrats
alrighty then ... we've gathered a group of some of the fastest clicker people on DU ... but that's not good enough ...

we need some engineering here too ...

you may not be aware of this but when you change the channel, bush is still actually there ... you can't see him, but trust me, he is ...

what we really need are more powerful remote controls ... remote controls that don't just create the illusion of getting rid of annoying low lifes ... imagine a little red button right next to the "mute" button ... it could be labelled: vaporize ...

possible? please let me know ... i'd be glad to chip in for the research ...

20. A digital De-Liar would take out every GOPer on the tube!
You buy the best digital cable service and then you go in debt for a new 189 inch high daffynition television set and guess what! The damned thing lies to you, just like the cheap 19 incher with the bent up rabbit ears did! You'd think Mikey Powell would ban all those GOPer liars on TV!

What Will, we tell the children, when they say? "Mommy, I lied because Jerry, Pat, Bush and Dick do it 24/7, so I thought that if I lied I could someday become pResident, or maybe I'll heal some other lying jerk who ain't really sick, so stupid people will send me lots of EASY money and I won't EVER need to sweat and make an honest living!"

media bias?

And let them know why they are being boycotted?
