Poll question: One Last Time --- When Do The rePublicans Start 'Jumping Ship' ???
Pre-Convention, and last time I ask...

Thanks for playin along!!!

:hi:

BTW - I'm not talkin entirely of impeachment here. I'm more curious as to how many Pukes will back away from Bush to save their own seats???

*******

As I recall, Tricky Dick did not resign until his own party informed him that they could not prevent an Impeachment vote in the House. In fact, some rePublicans said they would vote with the Dems TO Impeach. They saw the writing on the wall.

Now, considering the fact that the current crop of rePublicans might want to hold on to their seats in Congress more than they want to fight to the death (give up those seats) for the Boy Chimp...

When do you think we will start seeing signs of rePublican 'disloyalty' to the unelected warmonger???

6. That's the point, though.
Repubs may decide that they'd rather live to fight another day than stick their necks out for Bush.

If they back off of him, Bush is done.

That doesn't mean that the GOP will suddenly change their agenda overnight, but it does mean that we'll have cut off the head of the extreme right-wing conservative movement. Repubs will know that they have to move towards the center to stay alive, and in my view that's a positive development.

2. The Nixon Senate was at the height and power of the Old American Republic
THIS Senate is an Imperial Senate with all the courage of the 1933 German Reichstag.

Imperial Senators and House Reps. will cringe in fear before crossing the Imperial Family, who hits back VERY HARD and sometimes murderously.

Never.

Sorry to say it, but that's what I think.

3. The only one I would say "maybe" to
is Chaffee from RI (Senate). He is considered the most Liberal of all the Republicans and is from a Liberal State. The rest would never leave although I think a lot of them wish someone else was President. I don't really know much about the Reps outside my State so I can't really comment about them.

4. But If The Imperial Family Has The Potential To Drag You Down With Them...
what do you do as an Imperial Senator???

These ain't exactly the "women and children first" type of guys. Unless the women and children are gonna get between them and a bullet!

5. Would only happen if some of our Spineless party had the intestinial
fortitute to organize and expose the BFEE for what they really are. Problem is, most lack spines and guts. They only way the media would ever draw light to the BFEE is if they are forced to confront the crimes of BFEE, only strong show of fighting unity can do this and so far I've only seen Senator Kerry and Lautenberg take any unified stand. It's really fucking sad when you consider the Halliburton Iran probe and the WMD Office of Special Plans Intel cookers.

7. When Bush Makes Them Walk The Plank
THEN they might start to think of their own safety. But since you can't get fired in this Administration (unless you are a woman married to an honest man who tells Bush something he doesn't want to hear), it will never happen. Not even Cheney getting ousted? Since they all hang together, we will have to hang them seperately after the revolution Nov 2.

8. Won't......Happen
If they could not convince McCain to bail after they slandered his good name in 2000, no one goes.

9. Unless..
McCain is the 'new' Republican leader? Think about it.. he's (mostly) keeping Shrub at arms length.. but still within arm's reach.

I could see him being at the center of then "new Republicans" since he's (tried) to be a 'uniter' (think defending Kerry on some issues).

what's the old saying.. keep your friends close, but your enemies closer?

11. not until we reach repo rank and file
Around here, the right is still blissfully unaware that their party looks like a CRIME FAMILY. They go to church still thinking they're voting to keep the country safe from commies and homos (and now Ay-rabs).

Since we can't keep up with all the Republican crime, we need to try to get all these right-thinking folks to realize that this corruption goes on and is going to get worse because the people running their party think they are above the law. When these folks, who see themselves as quite decent start waking up, they are going to be really pissed. Their representatives will tremble.

Now, if * is going to bring back that compassionate conservative claptrap, I'd just make a loop of him mocking that woman, "What are you going to do, kill me?" and play it over and over. Wow, how are they going to do the compassion redux and bomb Iran at the same time?

13. I think it depends on what happens in the next couple of months
If Chimpy is in meltdown in the polls in September I can see many House members at least bailing big time.

They want to keep their jobs more than they want to support the Chimp.

A few like Hastert would NEVER bail, but my hope is at least some moderates would.
