I've been thinking... call it a pipe dream. But we have all this energy... all these 527's have so many email addresses and donor lists, etc.... it would be a shame for it to all dissipate after November 2.

I think the second most immediate, single collosal event/movement that needs to be done to save America is to unionize Wal-Mart. If we don't unionize Wal-Mart soon, union grocers and discount retailers and the entire service sector will be soon consumed by anti-union Wal-Mart. We need to put all of our emphasis now on unionizing Wal-Mart and with the energy and focus we have now against W, we could do it. I am talking about Moveon.org ad campaigns, the whole nine yards.

1. I'm up for it.
But I think most likely it's going to be BBV/electoral reform.

2. That is a good choice. Media reform is another biggie.

And the mother of them all: Corporate-charter reform.

3. I'm with you on this one
Being active in the Labor movement for many years, Wal-Mart is, was and may always be a huge pain in the rear end. And here in this town that I live in, we no longer have any unionized supermarkets either, since Eagle Foods went under. So, yes it is important that we attempt to organize the people in these types of jobs.

5. I sense a lot has changed in 4 years....
we've found our voice on the Internet. It's going to be an awesome tool to drive the Democratic agenda from the bottom up. I really think we will be pulling our entrenched Democrats to the Left....and we will be electing a new kind of Democrat that will take on the Republican "vision" headlong.

6. It'll be focused like a laser beam on Kerry to get us the fuck out of Iraq
At least for me.

7. Eliminate the Electoral College
Also, break up big media.

You're right that we need to keep the energy and solidarity and enthusiasm going. I'm a bit skeptical that we can, though.
