From the BBC: Terror "suspects" alive and well
Another of the men named by the FBI as a hijacker in the suicide attacks on Washington and New York has turned up alive and well.

Saudi Arabian pilot Waleed Al Shehri was one of five men that the FBI said had deliberately crashed American Airlines flight 11 into the World Trade Centre on 11 September.

Now he is protesting his innocence from Casablanca, Morocco.

5. While I don't believe everything...
... Daniel Hopsicker writes, he has done some writing on Mohamed Atta and his time living in Florida, which suggests that Atta was a bit of a psychopath--suggested, in part, by his cutting up his girlfriend's cat and kittens after she split with him. I have a very difficult time believing that Atta is the type of person to spend years planning and executing any plan which included his own death.

Combine these continuing reports of wrongly-identified hijackers with the scrubbing of the hijackers' Arabic names from the publicly-released passenger lists and with the too-convenient find of Atta's pristine passport in the wreckage, and I wonder how many of the real hijackers' names we really do know.

As far as all the recent press goes, might al-Zarqawi = Atta? Atta likes cutting things up.
