KindaSleazy's on the Lehrer Report doing what she does best....lying
Re: 911 report

Not exact quotes but this is the essence of what she said:

Both the Clinton administration and our administration everybody knew this was a high priority but when you looked at the intelligence it almost always pointed to something that was going to happen abroad...

When you look at it now we really have now alliances that think about terrorism as a number one threat. For a while were fishing around what was going to be the number one organizing principle and now we know its terrorism, WMD...terrorism is always on the agenda...

...We all feel responsible. We tend to think about 99 and 93 WTC bombing...or the 1982 bombing in Lebanon and it's very often the case for democracy that we don't see a threat materialize until it's already too late. When you can look at the way Adolph Hitler increased his threat until invading Poland...we learned not to let threats materialize.

1. She hit all the talking points, didn't she?
She made sure she got that "we were only here eight months" crap in a couple of times.

2. Yes she covered all the bases...Hindsight is a wonderful thing
They've effectively backed into their current story. With all of the tweaking, it's pretty airtight. Who can refute the "most intelligence" was focused abroad? The question is still out there, though regarding the weight of the intelligence on bin Laden relative to the other threats. No mention of that. Or, as Randi Rhodes brought up today, no mention of the profiteering, and the trading that went on with the airlines the days prior to 9/11. Sad outcome, and no relief in sight.
