What 25 States could we turn into a Democratic Territory/Country
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 11:47 PM by VoteDemocratic2004
If the Republicans steal our election for a 2nd time and our country has a civil war what 25 states could we put together to make a "democratic country".

I believe that it might have to be somewhere out east or possibly Illinois/Ohio/Wisconsin/Indiana/....???

If we have to break up into territories where do you think that "us democrats" will end up at?

There is no way in hell that we'd chose the freaking midwest for some utopia.

The whole country is slowly deciding that the sunbelt is the place to be. Make it the gulf coast + Florida or the southwest+California.

It has to be the midwest or out East.

I say NY because it's the best place in the world. I am not from NY but I love it.

13. Who's got the access to fresh water?
The midwest, or the sun belt?

Let fools settle in the sun belt. The land down there that doesn't end up under water in the next 20 years will be desert.

3. it's going to be real fucked up if it does happen
I say if you connect Indiana, we could take New England, New York, NJ, MD, PA, IN, MI, WI, MN, and IL (maybe IA too). Then out west you could take CA, OR, and NV (and quite possibly WA).

6. California, Oregon, Washington
Or hell, just California.

I had this fantasy a couple of years ago. Let's just secede (I live in CA). They don't want us, and we don't need them.

To hell with them and their fundie corporate bullshit

7. Why Five? Why not 25? Take our half.
Amiable split with the divorce proceedings giving every citizen who chooses to move 500 to get to the closest state of his or her choice.

We can take CA, OR, WA, ID, Montana, Wyoming, CO, ND, SD, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Penn, NY, NJ, CT, RI, VT, NH, Maine, Alaska and Hawaii.

They can have the rest. That way both groups get some industrial areas, agricultural areas, coasts, plains, mountains and cities.

Pcat

BTW, whoever suggested Indiana needs to rethink that. This is regrettably a very red state

12. We Cheeseheads would join Canada -- and we'd take the U.P. with us
We've already discussed it.

If MN wants in, fine. As for Illinois....well, I'd have to think about that one. It would be a tough sell.
