Pick 25 States out to give to the Republicans for their Territory
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 11:46 PM by VoteDemocratic2004
We will have to put a wall up around their territory to keep them from shooting at us.

I say lets give them Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, VA??

I am not sure of which states have the most right wingers in it but we need to give them back the South and pull our Southerners out and let them make a new start in life without Bubba the right winger next door.

34. what about falls church?
You wanna leave hickory hill in their hands? :)
I passed by it the other day on the way to my eye appointment, its a beautiful house. The part of NoVa where I live is more conservative, I have Frank Wolf for congressman but our populace is pretty tolerant at least of other cultures, and our school paper is quite liberal, so as more and more different kinds of people move to this district, you could see it becoming like how the wealthy suburbs are up north, becoming democratic.

5. No, not those states either.
I'd hate to see what they'd do to those beautiful mountains. they'd just decimate the wildlife out there.

Why do we have to give them some place in America? Antarctica still isn't claimed, as far as I know.

let's just give 'em texas. surely texas is BIG enough to handle it. and i've no doubt we'd be able to enlist mexico to build a very large portion of the fence.

all kidding aside. i'm pretty much ready to concede all fifty of the states, more or less, and head for the provinces up yonder.

Texas is the only state in the union that already has a plan in place to split into five separate states if necessary...at least that's what they taught me in school :)

23. Yes, it's in the state constitution of Texas
But I say keep Texas. Texas and California have so many natural resources. Besides, Hispanics will be the majority in Texas inside of 10 years and they are proud Democrats. The Oil Monopoly Republican days are numbered in Texas.

And Texas does have a proud Democratic heritage -- up until Reagan. Remember Texas went Democratic for Jimmy Carter, LBJ and JFK. And Ann Richards!!! And Jim Hightower!!!!

Let's wait for Texas and Tennessee and Georgia. They're coming.

28. I'm thinking:
I really love all fifty states. Each one contribures some unique and irreplaceable thread to the fabric of our nation. Wouldn't it be better just to boot the repugs out? After all, Democrats were here first.

I still think they should be sent to Antarctica. That's where the ozone hole is, and since they have no problem with pollution they shouldn't mind suffering its consequences. Besides, the cold weather is a perfect fit for their cold hearts.

I just pray for the penguins.

And not VA. There are important historical and archeological sites relating to early Euro. settlement in the area that are not yet fully excavated.

And if we give them access to the oceans, they'll pipe all of their crap and their sludge into it and ruin them for everyone.

I heard one of the dakotas had a state-owned bank(s), till recently, maybe still.

Were the dakotas once LW? settled by all those Norweigans? What happened?

Texas had gov. , a dem gov. recently.. ann something... and had Hightower as aggie commish. How bad is the bush margin there now? why not still dem?

Mercury needs colony of Republicans. It rotates oddly, so they will have a cool season, every year or so. Cheaper to fly toward the suns gravity, than fight it all the way to mars. Be careful, Igor, not to send the ship on a near miss.. might hit the Sun.

Theres a party up there called the NPL. non partisan league. The dakotas like many states in the midwest was settled by Germans and Scandavians making it a pretty lutheran place and lutherans mostly are conservative.

38. plenty of other states that shocked me
Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maine, and Vermont, New York. We shouldnt let the GOP have 25 states because conservatism wont disappear and even if it did, the moderates now would become conservatives, the liberals would become moderates, the somewhat far left would become liberals, and etc and on fourth. I say we try to make republicans the minority party by showing the people of this country how much better democrats like John Kerry and John Edwards will do for our country.

are just as loyal to the party as you guys in dem states. Virginia may go for Kerry which astounds me knowing that only one dem has won here in the last 50 years and that was LBJ in '64 and it was close but I see people with Kerry gear on their cars all the time here in NoVA and plenty more, Virginia may go for Kerry, the rural voters in the southwest of the state will admire his wartime service because southwest Va is the home of Bedford, the home of many who served on D-Day and they will like Edwards too.

37. None.
This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me

As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway
I saw below me a golden valley
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
And all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

The sun comes shining as I was strolling
The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
The fog was lifting a voice come chanting
This land was made for you and me

Chorus

As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tress passin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!

Chorus

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.

Chorus (2x)

40. I say
that they should all be assimilated, and give Grover Norquist what he wants--a one party country. Except that that one party WILL BE the Democratic Party and those that refuse to be assimilated will be sent to an uncharted island in the Pacific, big enough to hold about 50,000 people, and as people begin accusing us of being traitors, they will be shipped off to the island, where Cheney, Bush and whatever other despots they can handle there can rule to their hearts content.

Once these traitors to the true American democracy are dealt with, the REAL America can get back on its feet again, and re-associate itself with the rest of the world.

As for the island, On Gilligan's Island, they survived for many a year on the rations provided for a "3 hour tour." On Bush Island, without the Professor and other sources of intelligence, they'll be lucky to survive a couple of months, because they're complete incompetents.
