My daughter, soon entering 11th grade, has had a miserable time at school since 4th grade. She's not beautiful or good at sport, but she's smart and, above all, a lovely person. The in-crowd just can't or won't see it. I'm sad for my son who seems to be headed in that direction also. He throws like his Mother but he's such a good-natured little guy.

Hockey, windsurfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding, long distance cycling, motorbiking, soccer, and skiing by Kerry while Bush can't even ride a Segway. All he can do is work out with a TRAINER and jog.

People lie for Bush. I guess that's all they CAN do. They've been doing it all his life, you can't expect them to stop now.

I read somewhere that only half know that Kerry is a vet. Kerry's one of the most athlete presidential candiates I can think of, and he's in to team sports as well because I remember after he won Iowa, he mentioned the Patriots and how he wanted them to win, I also remember him being disappointed in how last year's ACLS turned out, I sure was, :argh: damn yankees. In fact, Kerry was playing soccer when Kennedy was killed, he's played hockey for years, he's very athletic. Bush is a great pretender though.

It can be pretty boring, and I haven't missed it since letting my subscription lapse in May (after about 17 years). I tended to skim it too, except when there was an article about one of my teams.

Dr. Z is good, though, and I like him a lil' bit better now that I know he's taking shots for the team :)

He's had some decent times running a marathon. But as a former track and cross country runner in college, I can tell you that distance runners can be pretty uncoordinated! Kerry is the better athlete, but don't denigrate the sport of running.

There is a wide disparity in the answers to these questions. It's >80% that W is the bigger fan, but <60% that he's a better athlete. So there are a good chunk of SI voters who recognize that W is actually our Cheerleader in Chief.
