JESUS! Brian Lamb reading from the report about the flights: big lie!
Edited on Fri Jul-23-04 08:11 AM by buycitgo
He showed the page. I read it. It SAYS that NO flights, NONE, were allowed inside the US before the 14th!!!!!

it's right there, and it's DEAD wrong

Randi Rhodes read the tail number of the plane that flew to Kentucky on the 13th.

Lamb just plays dumb, as usual.

it's what he's best at, isn't it?

I know this has been discussed, but it really hit me in the face to see the UNDERLINED passage, supporting an obvious LIE!

the very next paragraph asserts that NOBODY above Richard Clarke was consulted regarding letting the Saudis leave!

that's also a matter of contention, with both Dale Watson and Clarke telling mutually contradictory stories

how can we believe ANYTHING in this report if even the most obviously confirmable points are this horrendously botched

1. Heard him and also heard Mr. Zeidklow????
earlier say the same thing but he was carefully choosing his words. I've ordered the book. Don't want to read it online but we need to read the words carefully. There is quite a bit of documentation in other books that cover this. I think the words in the commission report may have been chosen very carefully;

4. zelikow? condi's co author......the REAL power of the commission?
the one who the 911 family group wanted to recuse himself?

of course they chose their words carefully.

So carefully, that they left the most important ones out

such as: they didn't to SHIT during the month of August, now, did they?

they played golf, they went fishing, they cleared brush, they drove around in pickup trucks, they pretended to discuss stemcell research, they went to a bunch of fundraisers

when did they talk about PLANES FLYING INTO BUILDINGS in NEW YORK CITY????????????????????

and Lamb, as I type is asking, "If you were president, would YOU read this book?" to a caller who said dumbo better read it

Sen. Frank Lautenberg NJ has the Manifest of the flight.
As far as Brian Lamb I would give him a little slack in that he is reading what is in the report. If someone has the Manifest from Lautenberg e-mail it to Brian.
He really does a good job (Brian)and right now he is the best that we have out there. He does let everyone have their say. Without him we wouldn't have access to all the hearings so we can hear for ourselves what is going on. That is why we ARE so INFORMED.

onedit: I lost the link that had the info about the Plane # maybe someone here has it.

6. respectfully disagree on Lamb
first, he's defending the report like nobody's business, telling people to read it, before making up minds.

well, Brian, before you DEFEND it, why don't YOU read it, huh?

second, it's got provable LIES in it, along with MYRIAD omissions

THAT's the problem with the report, above all. it just doesn't deal with the REAL questions, like US/Saudi/Pakistani connections before the fact

third, Brian has a prePONderance of wingnuts on his shows......REAL nutbags, with NObody as far out on the left as the loons he has on. they have no voice

he has a few slightly left of center people on, but nothing to compare with the likes of this Huessy maniac, or Ann Coulter, or Terry Jeffrey, or any of the constant flow of AEI, Heritage, Landmark Legal, etc., flacks that flood his show

they won't even admit they know who's been on the show, or keep track of political leanings, cause it's so badly skewed to the right

16. Respectfully disagree on your disagreement
1) How is saying to read the report before making up your mind the same as defending the report? It sounds to me like he's suggesting people make informed decisions.
2) What does whether the report has lies have to do with Lamb? C-SPAN purpose is to present information from all sides and let the viewer come to our own conclusions. It doesn't do investigative reporting, nor has it ever claimed to.
3) C-SPAN has *everyone* on. Among many others on the left, Lamb has interviewed authors Michael Moore, Amy Goodman and Molly Ivins. I've tried for years and have never been able to find any hint of partisan leanings in C-SPAN.

21. brian couldn't wait to have zelikow verify in the 9/11 report
that F9/11 was a lie. That speaks for what brian lamb is all about.

7. It is stunning that the information released by the airport in Tampa
has been disregarded. This may need a thread of its own, anyone think so, it didn't get much attention here when it was published in the first place.

TIA now verifies flight of Saudis
The government has long denied that two days after the 9/11 attacks, the three were allowed to fly.

TAMPA - Two days after the Sept. 11 attacks, with most of the nation's air traffic still grounded, a small jet landed at Tampa International Airport, picked up three young Saudi men and left.

12. Brian Knows It's A Lie

He put the words out there carefully.. he out and out implied that Michael Moore lied!

He asked Condi's friend did he see F 911. Of course that "innocent" looking piece of crap said that he had not( another lie IMO.)

I checked MM's website a few minutes ago and he had not posted a rebuttal to Brian's smear.

17. Yes! That was the major part that I saw ..right before I
had to go to work!

brian lamb asked zelikow if as in the report ..there were no planes flying out of the Country during the restriction on flying and zelikow said .."NO"(the way he said no..was so obvious to me that he was LYING!(And I wasn't even sure at that time if he was or not..

Then brian said ..so that movie F9/11 was a lie? And zerkoff said ..I haven't seen the movie but there were no planes taking off.

Why would brian say..the movie was a lie ..when he could have said..that part of the movie wasn't true or something to that effect!

No..the whole damn thing is a lie..that's what brian was projecting..brain lamb needs to be called on his shit!!

The head of freakin' c-span is a bush lover..how Twilight Zone is that?

18. did you see Moore on Booknotes
it's the ONLY time I've ever seen him challenge a guest on anything

he takes the likes of Coulter and swallows EVERY bit of insane BS they spu (new word from today's DU hate mail.....see that? hilarious!) without comment

he clearly HATED Moore, and what he had so say

he completely revealed himself on that show

It was painful; Moore tried to ingratiate himself to Lamb, and he just sat there, stonefaced whenever Moore said something funny

19. OMG! No! I had no idea..Michael Moore was on
Book notes. Was it for "F9/11" or a book..Michael wrote?

So Michael will know exactly what I'm talking about if I would be able to e-mail him with my little report of how lamb was trying to discredit his movie, this morning?

I really don't see how someone could be so gullible as to swallow bush lies and then to have coulter on and act like she's any kind of normal human being..is really beyond my scope of understanding.

And Michael is funny!..I saw him on Charlie Rose and Letterman..Charley Rose was giving him arguments but he wasn't being a total jerk.

15. Lamb is a right wing jerk
When a caller said 9/11 was Bush's fault, he shut her down with a sanctimonious statement about getting past the blame game and moving forward.

Since then he has let callers speak at length blaming Clinton, Gore and Jamie Gorelick, with nary a word of rebuke.

20. Sometimes Lamb seems fair, other times he cuts off comment

from someone I want to hear more from, lets a moran run on and on. I haven't been watching WJ much at all this summer -- is Pedro gone? I've always thought he gave the least hint of bias in the way he moderated calls.

One problem the left has is that the right has a lot of think tank people who go on shows all the time. We have fewer people available to do that.

22. Snopes has verified that there were flights during this period of time.
In the two days immediately following the September 11 terrorist attacks on America, the U.S. government allowed bin Laden family members to fly within the country during a general ban on air travel: True.

and like a lamb to the slaughter..he ate it up and accused F9/11 of being a Lie!!

If I didn't see it with me own eyes ..I would find it totally incredible.

As it is..I will never forget that big screw over of our Democracy.

Moore can press for a public apology from Lamb which will put this issue back in the spotlight.
