Let me get this straight: We're safer but a huge attack is imminent
depending upon which news program you watch at any given moment.

Oh and, the 911 Commission's report faults CIA intelligence because it says they succumbed to "groupthink" BUT the 991 Commission issued a report without any footnotes, exceptions--in complete agreement and consensus. Who's guilty of groupthink?

I am tired of being tired of the madness.

5. you've got it
a big event IS coming, but we won't elevate the 'terror alert color'.
the american people are safer, but al qaeda will try to affect the election. we will fight them in iraq so we don't have to fight them in suzieville, iowa.

there have been no attacks SINCE 9-11. almost as if they know that there ISN'T an attack coming. or, maybe they know it is, who the fuck can keep up?

but you've got it

8. Yes, that's correct. And, it's Kerry's fault if we do get attacked.
Despite the courageous efforts of President George W. Bush in making us all safe from non-Christian evildoers, we will be attacked because John Kerry is Bin Laden's man.

Just so there there is no confusion:
-Bin Laden fears George W. Bush and will attack us in an attempt to trick the public into voting against their best interests (safety) and instead vote for John Kerry.
-Bin Laden knows that if John Kerry is elected the USA will be an easy target and he may even send over some of those Iraqi balsa wood model airplanes armed with poison to kill our children. You know, the ones George W. Bush refered to when he threatened our children to gain support for attacking Iraq.
-Therefore, if there is an attack, it is all John Kerry's fault. He should do the honorable thing and drop out of the race right now. If he doesn't, remember who is to blame for the next attack: John Kerry! Of course if there is no attack, it is proof of the leadership and intelligence of George W. Bush.

Do I have all that right?

10. And lets not forget....
that the recommendations of the commission will probably not be implemented because of the political climate. Another check mark in the "We're Safer Column" !!

14. They're Already Resisting the Recommendations
Front page of today's Chicago Tribune headlines that Congress and Agencies are cool to the proposals.

So, we're safer because we won't change anything to make us safer.

Unbrilliant, huh?

11. It's a win-win for BushCo
They can take credit for anything good that happens or doesn't happen and take no responsibility for anything bad that happens. Always works out that way for them since most of the press doesn't ask questions.

13. Reminds me of the last scene of "Moonstruck"
with everyone at the breakfast table toodling along in his or her own little subplot. The old grandpa holding his head, sobbing, "I'm so confused!"
