I strongly question the use of the word "humbled AMERICA" in this headline. Seriously, what the fuck is this? Did they conduct a scientific poll? Maybe the CIA is "humbled." Bush SHOULD be humbled, but he's too busy telling us we are "safer," and warning us that our safety can only be guaranteed by granting him another four years in office. His mistress Condi is making the media rounds and confirming our safety. So who the FUCK in America is "humbled?"

" According to the final report of the 9/11 commission, it wasn't the FBI (news - web sites), CIA (news - web sites), FAA (news - web sites) or Air Force. Not the National Security Council or the Department of Defense (news - web sites). Not the State Department or Border Patrol. Not Congress or any president.

"The institutions charged with protecting our borders, civil aviation, and national security did not understand how grave this threat could be, and did not adjust their policies, plans, and practices to deter or defeat it," the bipartisan commission unanimously declared.

Only a small band of civilians, strangers to one another -- without benefit of staff meetings, bylaws, uniforms or task forces -- communicating by cell phone with loved ones who happened to be watching TV -- managed to figure out what was going on in time to thwart a guided-missile attack on Washington.

Brave passengers aboard United Airlines Flight 93 forced hijackers to crash the plane into an empty field far short of its target."
