Did you hear Bush talking to the Urban League: "Does the DEMOCRAT party |
|
take the black vote for granted?" And the tone does not leave any doubt that Democrat word is used intentional. I THINK THE DEMOCRATS SHOULD RIGHT AN ADD CORRECTING EVERYBODY. I have heard Democrats calling their own party the Democrat party. IT IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, darn it.

11. Kerry spoke to the Urban League Thursday. |
|
I haven't seen a transcript of the speech.
By the way, I've taken to calling the Republican Party the 'can Party. If they can slice and dice our name, we can show them what they truly are.

3. FAUX News decided to mangle English grammar to make sure |
|
the Democratic Party isn't confused with democratic ideals (which FAUX doesn't support anyway). Said in the right tone of voice, "Democrat Party" or "Democrat Senator" can be made to sound sinister. To me, it sounds idiotic. Democrat = NOUN, Democratic = ADJECTIVE.

5. As someone who deal with the younger generation regularly, |

I think it is not always meant to be an insult instead it is lazy misuse of the English language.

the same mental capacity as my average student, so I may have to make allowances for him.
If for example, I had a classroom of mentally challenged students, I would be less exacting on them (I would instead use praise that they were even trying).
Got to encourage those who struggle with the language you know (and that definitely includes our pResident)

the democratic party takes for granted the black vote, but there are some specific cases where black canidates or leaders got screwed by the DNC. Though you can also find examples of other minority group canidates and of white canidates getting screwed by the DNC. Perhaps screwed is even too strong a word. Slighted might be better.

9. AGREED! I've been hapring on this for quite awhile! |
|
They use (ntentionally in my mind) the slur "Democrat Party" in the identical slur (adjective turned to noun used as adjective) the Nazis and Confederate Types use against Jews, not the "Jewish Lawyer" but "Jew Lawyer"
Same thing. And it is designed to give the Conefederate Evangelical Base a warm fuzzy feeling and let them know (in code) that the Busheviks hate that Jew Democrat Party as much as they do...
Hell, we can;t get the Dems to fight back even after three years of screaming in their ears. What makes you think they are going to fight THIS, if they can't even fight the important stuff.

I don't see the similarity between "Democrat Party" and "Jew Lawyer" other than that they are both gramatically incorrect. It bugs the hell out of me when someone refers to it as the "Democrat Party" my my immediate thought is not they "they don't like Dems" but just "they're not very bright". If someone referred to a "Jew Lawyer", my first thought would be that they have something against Jews. I agree with your last part, the Dems aren't even fighting the important battles. Don't hold your breath on this one.

13. Structurally and semantically, they are identical |
|
"Democratic Lawyer" = adjctive used properly.
"Jewish Lawyer" =adjective used properly
"Jew Lawyer" (usually sneered, tone means so much and cannot be translated on a message board) = slur designed to denigrate Jews by switiching the adjective to a noun, then using it adjectivally
"Democrat Lawyer" (usually sneered, tone means so much and cannot be translated on a message board) = slur designed to denigrate Democrats by switiching the adjective to a noun, then using it adjectivally
The reason this doesn't immediately leap to mind as a slur is because like most Bushevik Propaganda, it is designed to fly under the radar at the unwary or uninformed.
What is the easiest way to confirm the truth of my statement? Find a Freeper, not just a Republican, but one which subscribes to the whol Goebbels v2.0 propagand amachine of Rush, O'Reichley, etc, and ask THEM why they call it the Democrat Party and why they refuse to call it the "Democratic Party".
They will be more than happy to explain it you. Of course, their explanation will not be overtly racist nor Nazi, they will just talk about it like a Nazi talking about a Jew (with using any actual overt racism).
But, don't take my word for it. Find your nearest Christian Fundy or Bushevik Drone AND ASK THEM.
They won't mention the Jews at all, but if you listen carefully you will hear the echo of Goebbels v1.0
Go ahead, check it out.
