3. Reality is frightening. |

Just because you are paranoid of conspiracies doesn't mean that there are not conspirators out to get The People.

I love it how the anthrax letters were never sent. I really like the part about how snipers didn't terrorize Washington DC and Baltimore. Or Ohio, either.
Thank God for GWBush keeping us all safe.

5. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode |
|
in which Lisa was trying to give Homer a lesson in logical thinking. Can't remember the specific details but I think Lisa picked up a stone and told Homer that thanks to the stones magical powers they had not been attacked by tigers. Homer had to admit there had been no tiger attacks in the neighborhood recently and was so impressed he bought the stone from Lisa for twenty bucks.

9. So true. So, so true. It's stunning how many Homers there are in this |

great country of ours. I sometimes wish the red-necks could form a country of their own - they could call it "Owr Terrortory"

There were no foreign terrorist attacks in the United States between 1993 and 2001 either!

8. I do appreciate the constant reminders that he was in charge when the |

worst attack in history on our mainland occurred. As hard as he tries to turn those lemons into lemonade, the sour taste in my mouth just grows stronger. Bush, you are the worst president in our history. You turned a happy optimistic nation into a paranoid angry nation - and it isn't the terrorist's who are generating the anger - it's you Mr. President. You are paranoid and angry and you are "impressing" your miserable self on our countries mood. No thanks, go away you creep. :grr:

10. Thanks to Bill Clinton, we weren't attacked since 3/1993. |
|
It's all in the spin.
As soon as you say something nice about the Clinton fight against terror, then people will say something like:
"Well, what about the USS Cole? The Khobar Towers?" etc.
Well, then, if they want to include those, then you have to include every other terrorist attack on the US troops in Iraq, plus, wasn't there some stuff going on in the Philippines?
So, then they can try to shift to:
"What about Atlanta 1996? Waco? Ruby Ridge?" (never mind that Ruby Ridge was under Bush41, they'll still try to throw that one in).
If they count "domestic" terrorism acts, then the "since 9/11" falls flat on its face, since the sniper shootings in Virgina/DC and the anthrax mailings and the like have happened since 9/11.
So, Bush says he's doing a great job in protecting the US. If that's so, then if a terrorist attack happens between now and Jan 20, 2005, wouldn't that represent a massive failure of the job Bush is doing?

11. Yes, but I've been saying that the plan is to PREVENT a terror attack |
|
A staged terror attack wouldn't come during the Democratic Convention. Bush is on vacation at this ranch then and they wouldn't choreograph it that way. They'd need to have Bush be in the White House and on duty to illustrate their story line that he's the right leader to have in charge.
Furthermore, any terror attacks that happen between now and late October will only draw attention to the fact that, except for airline safety and a few fire drills, this country really hasn't done jack shit to prevent any future terror attacks.

The world is not so full of terrorists as they want us to think. They want us to live in fear; that helps them.
