Hey Virginians
I think Mark Warner should run against George Allen in 2006, sound like a plan? his stock in the party seems to be rising, he's gonna be speaking in Boston next week. I dont agree with the man on everything but boy oh boy is it nice to have a dem in Richmond.

3. Every Democrat I've talked to in the state
feels that is the plan. No way should we not have a viable candidate for that seat and Mark is a very viable candidate!

4. Exactly what I've heard.
That is the smart track for him to take personally and politically, AND we need to get rid of that kook George Allen. The guy gives me the creeps.

As for John Warner, he can keep that seat warm until the Democrats reassert themselves in the Commonwealth, including getting Mark Warner elected in 2006.

Hopefully this election cycle will strengthen a weakened Dem Party in Virginia.

Goodness knows we're trying very hard here in Fairfax County.

8. John is up in 2008, Allen up in 2006
Ive been trying to get involved with the fairfax county dems but its been tough with my job and everything, plus I am not online at home. Yeah Allen creeps me out too, I deal with his legacy, the SOL test in school, next year's my last year though, but Allen also was a big proponent of the death penalty as well, as well as a jerk.

6. Well Ive heard that Tim Kaine is running for governor
Dont know against who, Jerry Kilgore I think. Yeah I think Mark can do it. Sad to say but I think John Warner will be there until he retires or dies but thats ok. We need more dem congress people too, right now we got three, James Moran, Bobby Scott, and Rick Boucher, Ive been planning to do some work for congressional candiate James Socas whos running against Frank Wolf but I work full time at Dulles which is what I am doing now and that tires me out plus I havent gotten the phone number yet and I missed a recent BBQ which was a shame.

9. A funny thing about Kilgore running-pay attention to the ads
I know someone who worked with a Repub bigwig and apparently you won't be hearing Kilgore's voice in his ads (if he can get away with not saying "...and I approved this message" not sure if it applies to states) see...

Kilgore has a VERY rich sweet Virginia accent and the Repubs are scared that not only will some moderates not like it (this is Virginny) but some Repubs might think he sounds........well.......gay.

He isn't as far as I know but he hasn't been in the news to much so the first time people get reaquainted with him there could be some shock.

Watch for that.

10. hah havent heard him talk
I sorta remember when he ran against McAchin for AG, and I dont recall him actually talking. Well who else would run for the governorship then? Our one term limit on governors means Allen and Gilmore cant run again, and I think all the congressional republicans are happy where they are.

He doesn't get in front of the cameras too much, this might be part of it.
