Pentagon Finds Bush's Guard Records |
|
WASHINGTON - The Pentagon (news - web sites) on Friday released newly discovered payroll records from President Bush (news - web sites)'s 1972 service in the Alabama National Guard, though the records shed no new light on the future president's activities during that summer. huh? http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=5&u=/ap/20040723/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_military_records

1. I think they meant "future president" as in... |

...they're saying that in 1972 he was the future president.
It's awkward wording, I agree, but I suspect it reflects nothing more than poor writing skills. It might've been better to write "the then future president's activities," or just "Bush's activities."

7. Well, well, well. Someone at the Pentagon doesn't like *. |
|
Why else "find" these records which do not help him in any way?

I was watching the MSNBC scroll and they reported that the records discovered at the Pentagon demonstrate that Bush was NOT on duty between May and Sept of 1972. But that was just the scroll. No one has really reported anything yet.

10. I'LL BET SOMEBODY ELSE "FOUND" THE RECORDS |
|
so EUREKA - well, I'll be, here they are under that flower pot. . . I love this lame ass quote from the article:
"Previous attempts to locate the missing records at the Federal Records Center had been unsuccessful due to the incorrect records accession numbers provided," the Pentagon's Office of Freedom of Information chief C.Y. Talbott said in a letter Friday to The Associated Press.
"The correct numbers were obtained ... and the records were found."
What a bunch of crap. I wonder who gave them the wrong "accession numbers." And when the Pentagon claimed the records were "indvertantly destroyed," they had all sorts of detailed information about how other soldiers who "served" like Bush during the same time was destroyed. bs

13. CNN REPORTS WH KNEW THAT RECORDS WERE "LOCATED" ON WEDNESDAY |
|
So, they deliberately allowed the information to be released on a Friday. They are trying to diffuse it - but it will be brought up at the dem convention. They are such liars

12. Each time they are lost |

and then found, destroyed and then resurrected, things will be made more clear until just before the election it will be discovered he was flying "black ops missions into Laos and Cambodia under deep cover".

What will we have to endure next? There is a continuous Awol thread running on Dweeb Cabal. This will be terrific ammo for the closet Neocons that already have their undies in a bunch. Bush is no comparison with Kerry, therefore Kerry is the more patriotic and honest candidate. Feels good to be on the good side.

18. This one took me a minute, too |
|
But I do think that what they meant is that -- going back to his AWOL days -- he was at that point a future president. Not well written at all, to cause such confusion. But I don't think there's really anything devious going on here.
