Should Congress stay in town until they address the issues in 9/11 Report? |
|
Or should they go on vacation until after Labor Day and then get to it, if they have the time? What if something happens similarly to what happened in August of 2001 when Bush went on vacation and everything was either ignored or put on hold? And the head of the CIA did not want to bother him in Crawford with vital information... Shouldn't Congress just spend another week or so and address the concerns that were brought up by the Commission's report, rather than go on vacation? Isn't this urgent that they take care of this before they leave town?

After all the work Congress has done these last 2 weeks trying to protect Americans from the terrorists of family values (flag burners and homosexuals) you want to deny them a vacation?
It isn't like we really have to worry about the economy or the national security--the Bush administration is all over that.
