Careful to note: Bush's payroll info is hardly ALL his missing records.
Don't let anyone in the media get away with saying this ends it. This does NOT end it. Bush's daily sign ins and his performance reports for that timeframe are still missing. Are they going to claim those were "inadvertently" misplaced... destroyed... disappeared...raptured?

Also missing is any credible witness who served alongside him at that base in Alabama. Oddly enough, noone can remember serving with him.

Go figure.

1. Gary Trudeau offered $10,000 to anyone who could offer proof
bush* fulfilled his obligation in AL. Last I heard, Mr. Trudeau has not hos to make out that check.

2. Has anyone followed the path of his buddy Bath? If they were both
flagged as not taking their physical and grounded (am I accurate here?), would it be possible to find a clue in when and where Bath went during his service? For example, if Bush became disinterested and didn't show up any longer, there could be several reasons - drug residue combined with inability to fly - or - it could be that his buddy left and he didn't have anyone to party with. Has his affiliation with Bath been discussed on DU?

4. I've been pushing for the media to FOIA Bath's records for a few years now
Edited on Fri Jul-23-04 07:10 PM by blm
and it doesn't seem to be as if any of them have picked up the clue phone.

A number of us who have followed the whole BCCI story have been on top of Bath for many years now and have discussed it here. It still hasn't pierced the media bubble though.

6. I use Bush, Bath, and Bin Laden
to play off Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I like your style of repetition.

I think you should post a Bush, Bath and Bin laden thread just like your post above and see if it FINALLY sinks in a few media skulls.

that was in response to AP's suit.

7. Who has seen these records? ABC said NO PAY for july-sept
The CBS report said basically that there was no new information.

The ABC report said that Bush was NOT PAID for July, August, Sept and essentially not paid for EIGHT MONTHS.

Why isn't this PROOF of AWOL?

9. Good question.
Wouldn't the Dept overseeing the Air Force have those records?

The spin on this is THICK. So far, they are spinning it as THE missing records when there is a whole HELLUVA LOT missing.

10. IF, as we believe, the Pentagon & CIA are at war with BushCO & the neocons
Wouldn't that explain it? From the careeer professionals at the Pentagon, in defiance of the civilian idiot idealogues, come the records at last. Another blow to Georgie's credibility.

12. Operation Condor
Bush was flying back and forth to Central America for plants. Plants my ass!

"It was really quite amazing. Here was this young guy making acquisitions of tropical plants and then up and leaving to fly fighter planes.

A MadCowMorningNews investigation into the controversy currently swirling around President George W. Bush’s service in the National Guard has uncovered evidence indicating that Bush’s disputed “lost year” is not the only period of time during his abbreviated stint in the Guard that remains shrouded in mystery.

Conventional wisdom about Bush is that he spent the more poorly-documented stretches of his Guard service somewhere with his cowboy boots up on a desk, pulling the tab on another ‘tall cold one.’ The questions being asked are on the order of: Did daddy pull strings to get him a cozy billet? Did he actually show up for duty?

But conventional wisdom has a way of often being wrong. Evidence unearthed in our investigation indicates that George W. Bush, while supposedly serving in the Texas Guard in 1971, may instead have been detailed to the massive covert operation of the U.S. government going on at that very moment in Central America."

15. His honorable discharge tells me as much as his getting into Yale
and graduating, as much as his getting into the Guard in the first place, as much as his having a career above used-car salesman with his proven record of sheer mediocrity -- it tells me the BOY HAS CONNECTIONS.

17. He received favors no regular reservist would have received.
His record proves he was treated as if he was ABOVE THE LAW.

Only royalists would think that was OK and not an issue.

I am NO royalist.

18. you miss the point. The criminal aspect of this is the lies and coverups
that your boy is so addicted to. Who cares if his Daddy got him an easy berth? He wasn't exactly alone. But none of them went on to claim how dutiful and honorable their "service" was.

Does it bother you AT ALL that a) he didn't fly for the TANG, which was his duty and b) some poor Texas kid got drafted in his place and went off and got killed in Nam? And he is pleased to smugly lie and lie and lie and LIE!!!! about it???

It's interesting you good people find it so easy to forgive this carelessness, and continue to whine on and on about a blowjob which killed nobody.

"our cause" indeed!

19. "Let it go, this does nothing for our cause..."
Your cause is not "our" cause. Don't you dare presume to speak for me.

You're going to have to try a little harder - so far you're not getting away with it at all.
