2. Raining in Boston today. |
|
Watch for a cancellation and a double header tomorrow. Osama watch....my guess if it is done this weekend, next week, it would be Thursday morning. Wasn't there a thread a few months ago asking for date & time, with the person guessing the closest winning something?

3. Bah. Those razor-wire internment camps are the surprise for the |
|
convention watchers. The Dem leadership has only 2 days to deal with this problem before the PR disaster hits.

7. As I understand it, that's Homeland Security's decision ... |
|
(the razor-wire pen and all that, I mean) ... and I heard on one of the TV news shows last night that the demonstrators are actually being allowed to be closer to the delegates than they have been in a long time -- it just really looks bad because of the pen.
With all the security, this convention (and the one in New York) is just going to piss off everyone in Boston (stopped subway trains, businesses having to close for three days, etc.). And the media will probably focus more on the razor wire and the pissed-off merchants than the issues being discussed inside the Fleet Center.
*sigh*

PR disaster for Dems, because it is at the Dem convention and most folks will believe that Dems set it up, no matter what any Dem says about it.
When the TV cameras superimpose Kerry giving a speech and the razor-wire internment camps, thats the election right there.

12. Kerry needs to have TV monitors with the news feeds available to him then |
|
Or since that's probably not feasible on stage, he needs to have staff that can somehow signal that to him, while he's speaking. Then he can address the issue, on live TV saying that "THIS is what George Bush's failure to protect this country has come to"

13. If I were Bush, I would "catch" OBL |

the night of Edwards big speech (the night before Kerry's big speech).
I may throw out a few hints before then--that indicate we are getting closer and closer and closer.....

14. While I wouldn't put it past ChimpCo to trot OBL out, |
|
I really don't think it will happen. I've been reading up on events in Pakistan, and it seems as if a large segment of the rural tribes are doing their best to hide OBL, and even the Pakistani military seems to be either actively on the side of OBL or just totally incompetent.

15. i agree. they don't have him. |
|
Pakistan is the great double agent in all of this. Too bad the 9-11 commission didn't find them as interesting as they actually are.
OBL is either free or dead. If he died awhile back, I think AQ would have kept it quiet because he's of great use as a symbolic leader as long as * is pResident.
And there wouldn't have been the pressure put on Pakistan to produce a high value target for the convention if they already had OBL or Omar. Supposedly they offered to let AQ Khan walk and forgiveness for the nuclear supermarket. Maybe, but it looks like that's already happened. And it's likely that Cheney was involved in all of that as well.
So. No OBL forthcoming. There may be something else, but it won't be a high value target.

... they'll be producing OSAMA!
Bush has never gotten over being thrown by seeing those Obama campaign buttons in Illinois!
How can you be so sure that Osama isn't on kidney dialysis in the White House basement?
