N.Korea truns down US offer.

Not important enough to make the news; would take up too much headline for Laci and Lori.

1. I KNEW something more was up when I posted that RevMoon's #2 was arrested
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 09:58 AM by blm
earlier this week.

Bush had been using fockin' Moon to negotiate (bribe) NK, and they obviously FAILED BIGTIME.

Found my post from Wednesday.

Sumthin's going down in N.Korea. RevMoon's #2 arrested for fraud there.

Moon has been Bush's liaison to N.Korea. I doubt this arrest for fraud is the ONLY story.

Cult leader detained on fraud charges

Park Bo-hi, 74, allegedly the second-ranking official of the Unification Church, has been arrested and detained by prosecutors in Seoul on charges of fraud. The church was founded by Rev. Moon Sun Myung, a controversial religious figure who has called himself the "son of God."

Mr. Park allegedly received 2 billion won ($1.7 million) from a real estate developer in December after promising the developer the rights to build an apartment complex on land in Guri, Gyeonggi province, owned by Ilhwa Corp., a food processing company owned by the church. The sum was a down payment for the sale of the land, prosecutors said.

Mr. Park was the key official in arranging for Rev. Moon to meet the late North Korean dictator, Kim Il Sung, in Pyeongyang. He founded the Washington Times, a church-owned daily newspaper in Washington, D.C. in 1982; he was also the publisher and president of the Segye Ilbo, a Seoul daily, from 1991 to 1993.

2. Come on freepers. You must be THRILLED that RevMoon is in charge of our NK
policy.

And after you were led to believe that Moon was just some eccentric who had no significant role with the Bushies.

All that evidence over the last 30+ years showing the alliance between Bush and Moon and you shrugged your shoulders. This is a case where your stupidity and willful ignorance is downright traitorous.

3. Sorry, lottie. Looks like the media hasn't sexed up this story.
Even DUers aren't picking up on its significance.

Bush was using Moon to bribe NK so he could win the election by showing pics of NK turning over their nuclear weapons to him BEFORE November.

4. The headline should be:
"N. Korea turns down offer US said it would never make"

Remember when * said he wouldn't offer aid in exchange for disarmament? (He said N. Korea would have to disarm first and then he would look at aid)

And what about China? China has gotten away w/ bloody murder re currency manipulation, patent infringements, etc. But we needed China for the 6-way talks. :eyes:

Oh, and didn't * withhold info about N. Korea's enrichment activities from congress until after the IWR vote?

The disaster monkey strikes (out) again.

5. Thanks, I missed this until blm redirected today.
This is more Bush "foreign policy" incompetence. I do agree this is how these corrupt bastards work. Cheney's an expert at bribery, I'm sure they were willing to pay-off anyone if they could get a Libyan-type WMD surrender from NK....the significance of this implication, that the Moonies engaged with NK over nuclear policy, on our behalf; stuns me.

7. No coincidence that the Korea specialist for Congress is Curt Weldon
who also happened to be at Moon's crowning last March.

He claims he was there only as a guest of Bill Gertz (who happens to be the reporter who writes all the propaganda for the Bushies that they need planted in the Moonie Times.)

9. LOL. Shame, isn't it?
The media won't sex it up either. In fact, I expect them to avoid it like the plague.
