What the news didn't show in Detroit last night...
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 10:21 AM by MrsGrumpy

The only real coverage I could find was on the radio. NPR said that the anti-Bush people outnumbered and surrounded the proBush. I watched channel 7 for delightful news of the President's dog peeing. Which the newscasters assured us was bound to bring the President more votes. :eyes:

But yes, the protesters were out in full force in Detroit yesterday AM.

...and here is a blurb on it from the Free Press

One man wore a rubber Bush mask and carried a sign saying: "Outsource me on Nov. 2."

what they tell the local media "If you include any of the anti-Bush footage on your news, we will know and then you will know that we know. You have to be licensed to keep going and remember Colin Powell's son is head of the FCC."

6. This is what happens with deregulation
You really think the media, and oil companies will police themselves?

5. Recently, one of our local papers, The Macomb Daily, has changed
hands. I have been trying to find out info on the new owners. The old owners were Scripps. From what I have read so far, it's a positive change. More balanced in the editorial department and more real news being reported.

7. Every freeway entrance and overpass were blocked by police
I-94 from the airport all the way downtown. If a spot was within sight of the freeway, it was blocked. That took a whole lot of cops.

That cost some fund-strapped communities a bunch of dollars that they really don't have.

Then they repeated the process for Bush's exit.
