A rant about the media
My 16 year old (librul) son just asked me why the missing girl from Utah is constantly on TV, when there are so many other missing people. I told him I guess because its similar to the Peterson case. But there are so many other missing people, why her? Well then we heard a segment about the 14 Syrian passengers on the plane. That their story had been verified and they were in fact musicians. To be honest, I had really not paid much attention, except that I caught an interview with the woman who "noticed" them and got perturbed. Apparently they "loitered near the restrooms and shuffled items extensively in overhead bins. "

Here's a great link -

http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/taylor200407211921.asp

"In fractions of a second, Mr. Google found a website for Sycuan's event promoters, Anthem Artists, whose archive confirms Nour Mehana performed at Sycuan on 7/01/04.

And then I noticed something that was truly terrifying, something linking Nour Mehana to a figure of such repulsive evil that I felt a rush of prickly fear not unlike Jacobsen's: Just one week later, the same company that arranged Mehana's performance, also booked Carrot Top!"

Ok, I can understand that this "journalist" Annie Jacobsen got concerned, and reported her concerns to the flight crew, and while the authorities met the plane to question these guys after landing, why the hell does this insane media have her on talk shows? Nothing happened. Nobody got arrested nobody had weapons.

What this means is our media is insane. No matter which outlet, they discuss dumbass stuff and they ignore important stuff. They let crap through like Kerry's purple hearts don't matter, because he only received a scratch. If they must repeat the feces they are fed by the repukes, can they not also point out that this in fact means nothing because the important thing is not how he was wounded, or even whether he was wounded at all. The important thing is that while Bush was happily working on some useless repuke campaign in Alabama and people were bending over backwards to accomodate him by allowing him not to show up for duty, Kerry had volunteered to be in the most dangerous part of the world, fighting, willingly, in one of the most dangerous wars there was.
They continue to talk about Berger stuffing papers in his clothing, most of them repeating the lie, that he and his lawyer said so. And yet, although Martha Stewart was prosecuted for lying, no one is discussing the fact that apparently Ashcroft made false and misleading statements to the 911 commission. An official investigation.

Well, I could obviously go on and on - and this is long enough already
