After Bush Loses...
I fully expect a subtle "scorched earth" policy to guide their policy and lawmaking decisions for the remaining 2 months. They'll be setting up the dominoes of precarious fiscal and foreign policies so that the resulting disasters and calamities and confrontations will occur AFTER John Kerry is sworn in.

I also expect that they will offer minimal and superficial assistance to the transition procedures. Just enough to make a showing, but not enough effort to be of any meaningful help or assistance.

Later they'll all gleefully chant "it happened on Kerry's watch, it happened on Kerry's watch".

-- Allen <--call me a cynic. call me suspicious and distrustful.

2. I fear you may be right
That's why we must be ready to spread the word of dirty deals and to go to the streets again if need be to let folks know what is going on.

3. These are the folks who were the REAL "sore losermans."
They can be expected to take that louse's way out after they lose. We just have to make sure we stay on top of it, and NAG, NAG, NAG. When they behave this way, the press may give them a free ride, but that does NOT mean that we should, also.

4. Expect A Flurry of Executive Orders
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 03:25 PM by rwenos
When GWB loses, during the transition he'll send a flurry of executive orders out, trying to figure out what he can do before Kerry takes office. Abortion bar in Army hospitals, judgeships, work regulations, appointments to the NLRB -- you name it, Bush will name moss-back conservatives to it. It'll take Kerry 6 months to root out all the backalley crap.
