Democrats bar Nader from convention. Nader will not endorse Kerry.
(I couldn't find this on DU. Forgive me if it's a dupe)

Independent candidate says he won't endorse Kerry

BOSTON, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader was rejected Friday in his bid to try to attend next week's Democratic National Convention.

"Given that Nader is running on the Pat Buchanan Reform Party ticket and is openly accepting both financial and organizational help from Republicans and their allies, the answer is no," Democratic National Committee spokesman Jano Cabrera said.

5. Why is this news?
Ralph Nader is not a Democrat, is running against John Kerry. Do Democratic conventions normally invite opposing candidates to attend their convention? Is George W. Bush invited to attend but Nader is not? Is Ralph Nader also trying to get invited to the Republican convention?

8. Great. So no antiwar voice at the convention.
I'm no fan of Ralph Nader since I want Bush out of office, but this sucks. The Democratic Party is going to be just as prowar, pro-fascist, and pro-corporate as the Republicans.

20. Friggin' BULLSHIT!!!!!
I'm so sick and tired of the whining about how the Democrats are no different from the Repugs. Saying that is either being ignorant or deceptive.

On the environment, health care, choice, equal opportunity, taxes, worker's rights, and every other issue the Democrats offer a clearly better alternative to the Repugs.

22. Dean will speak
If you can't see the difference between the Dems. and the Repukes, you're the problem.

If you voted Nader in 2000, you and your kind are responsible for this mess the country is in.

The choice is clear to people who know how to count.

9. Nader Should Cover Himself In Mayonnaise

And run naked through the streets of boston, screaming look at me! look at me! I represent everything that is good and pure in american politics, and I'm willing to whore myself out to the highest bidder to prove it to you!

The guy is unsafe, at any speed.

29. Get real, Ralphie!
If ya wanna go to the Democratic National Convention, join the party, work your tail off to help the party and it's candidates, and then if you do a good job, you just might be included in the convention.

Also, Ralphie, are you gonna have Kerry/Edwards at your Reform party convention? Are ya, huh? Huh??

39. Of Course Not.
The Greens told Ralphie to go fuck himself. The Greens aren't a big enough stage for the egomaniacal asshole to swallow his pride and show up for the Greens.
that oughta tell all you Greens and third-Party folks what a true piece of shit Nader is.
He'll come to the Dems...wants to...because THEY can offer him a big enuff stage...y'all Greens can't.
And the Dems told Ralphie to go fuck himself! Good for them!

Put aside for a minute the issue of republican support for nader. He's running against the Democratic nominee as a candidate for another party? Why would it even be a question that he would attend?
