Anyone have a complete shot of the form where Bush refuses Vietnam duty?
Here's a link to a section of it (Near the bottom of the screen):
http://www.awolbush.com/kerry-vs-bush.asp

Someone was trying to tell me that TIME is saying "Bush actually VOLUNTEERED to go to Vietnam. He was turned down as, on top of the fact that the F-102's were no longer being used, he didn't have the flight time logged to be shipped to a combat zone." I haven't read the TIME article yet. Has anyone else?

Can someone send me a link to the entire form? I'd really like to show it in it's entirety.

2. He could've qualified for an F4
With Poppy's connections he could've been in Nam in a New York minute. Matter of fact without those connections he could've gone if he tried. +90% of the pilots made the move from the F-102 to the F-101 and then again to, I believe, RF-4s. No problemo for a hot shot jet jockey.

4. As a reservist? I doubt it.
The F-4 was top-o-the line fighter during vietnam, I doubt reserve units were getting them until the F-16/F-15's took their place with active USAF/USMC(F-14).

My mother's husband, was USMC air, and he wasn't retrained in the F-4, and he had served in theater for two tours with the F-101 in Vietnam, and two years in Korea with something before that.

If you weren't going to be part of the active air fleet it would be a waste of resources....

SE US Air Guard Fighter Units existed to attack and defend re:Cuba, had very little other non-pork purpose.

5. I meant if he'd requested to be transferred to
the active USAF-He wasn't going anywhere from Ellington unless it was to Eglin. The F102 pilots qualified pretty quickly on the 101 since your mother's husband flew that bird in Nam- * could've too. If he really wanted to.
