8. Well, "DNC" stands for Democratic National Committee
That is the official national Democratic party organization. As I said, the DLC is a WING of the Democratic party.

11. Sorry, I thought the metaphor was fairly obvious...
But maybe you're not familiar with the reference? It comes from the Homer's Illiad.

If *something* is being "destroyed from within" by a metaphorical Trojan Horse, that *something* must be a metaphorical City of Troy.

Hope that clears it up.
