The Presidency is not enough--CONGRESS must shake Republican rule |
|
Anyone have info on what the Congressional races look like?

1. The common wisdom is that Democrats have a chance at |
|
the Senate in 2004, but not the House.
Russ Feingold and Tom Daschle are two Demcoratic Senators facing tough races, if you're looking for someone to help.

5. With some hard work and $$$, Hoeffel can beat Specter. (PA) |
|
I think we will have 51 seats in the Senate- with enough * screwups.

6. What are the proportions in the House? |
|
This seems to be the real locus of control. Are there just too many "safe" seats?
BTW, I think there is a Rep in Maryland that is in trouble. Forgot her name, though.

11. The common wisdom is that the Democrats will have to win |
|
back the House in 2 steps (gain in 2004, gain a majority in 2006) if they're going to do it all.

12. Any chance that Farenheight 911 will help? |
|
I agree with the conventional wisdom, though it is a best case scenario. If Bush loses, Karl Rove will still be wandering around helping Republican candidates lie their way to victory.

7. Yes, yes. I've been posting this message every week. |

Please get out the word. We should be concentrating on Congressional seats as well as the Presidency.

14. duh--actually it would be better in some ways |
|
if Bush stays in and we get Congress we can send him and his buddies to jail. If Kerry wins and they keep congress it will be another ugly sludge fest like the later Clinton years.
I hope we get both. If so, I can't see Kerry or the Democrats pressing for war crime prosecutions can you?
Sux.
