Just what kind of supporters does President Bush have that Linda Ronstadt's praising of Michael Moore and his movie drove them to toss cocktails around and tear down posters? When the Dixie Chicks criticized the war in Iraq supporters collected dozens of their CDs and smashed them under the wheels of a tractor.

For all the criticism that Bill Clinton endured, I cannot recall one instance where his supporters committed acts of vandalism in his name. Just what sort of a yahoo is a Bush supporter?

I wonder how many people have heard that U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-California, asked for an amendment which would criminalize war profiteering? Or that the Republican leadership in Washington removed her request while raising the no-bid limit from $7.5 million to $200 million?

How many people have heard that Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, convinced the government to underwrite a $225 million creation of an African rain forest in his home state? Or that Rep. Billy Tauzin, R- Louisiana, procured a subsidy to build a Hooter's restaurant. I've seen too many letters from readers blaming liberals for all this nation's ills. I suggest that before they do this, that they take a hard look at their own party before they start throwing mud.
