O'Reilly hated from the right and left
Those of you who haved been banned from Hannity.com like I have or debate over there may know that they hate O'Reilly over there and oftentimes call him "dillusional" and "out of touch with reality". Liberals too hate O'Reilly, no surprise there. I also began reading the 1st chapter of his ficticious novel and I was objective, not caring he was a republican. I was bored and couldn't finish the chapter. O'Reilly writes propaganda books and now he thinks he is a novelist. He also speaks of he going to Harvard. The watching audience would assume probably right out of highschool. NO! When he had become a successful correspondent he then had money and was accepted into Harvard.

....I watch his show in the hope that a guest will piss him off, and his head will explode.

2. Al Franken almost made his head explode at some event I cannot recall
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 12:11 AM by ParisFrance
"This isn't your show Bill" said Franked. " Shut up you've had your time" O'Reilly responds in anger.

7. Thanks, I did see that.
I'd like to see a video of when he went ballistic on the kid who lost his dad on 9/11.

13. Wow! That was great!
O'Reilly was pimping this incident the other night. He said security had to drag the Glick kid out of the studio after the interview.

4. Is that the famous "book signing" episode?
There is no doubt in my mind that he can't go on spewing his trash without eventually losing his base support. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while - these "morans" that listen to him have to occasionally check to see if they're floating on a desert island - which they are...

8. he made a book on tape
of that novel. it is absolutely hilarious to hear him read it (excerpts are occasionally played on franken's show and the majority report.) he reads the sex scenes like he's reading off a grocery list.

10. I Love When They Eat Their Own
while Bill O'Reilly surely must love his country...he always tells us so...and must love it more than we do...since he tells us that, too...there's one thing Bill O'Reilly loves more than Country, Bunnypants and France-hating: <drumroll>: Bill O'Reilly.

I've been predicting for months the upcoming incestfest of these hate mongers as their long-contained egos come out with knives drawn. The key is Rush going down. It's gonna happen, just being delayed...but when he is indicted, bye bye radio show and then the fun begins. Both O'Reilly & Hannity want to be the SuperRush. They want his "mantle" of supreme monkeydom and all the ego perks that go with it.

I'm surprised that O'Reilly & Hannity have been able to keep their hatred hidden this long. It's been known that the two never appear together and both are considered real assholes even within Fauxville. Their meal ticket is Rupert...he loves 'em and keeps 'em golden. In their delusional world this equates popularity...as do the ratings and their ultimate dream is to be the king of this dung heep. Our fun will seeing how bad they crap all over each other.

Also expect some major ass-covering and finger pointing if Bunnypants goes down. Of course us "libruls" will have rigged the election and through the "librul media" brainwashed the more educated 50% of this country. Yeah, right. I predict O'Reilly will turn on Bunnypants like a spurned elephant and spin that he "didn't know" all that was going on and how his job now will be to keep Kerry from being "another Clinton". I can hear it now. Hannity will go down with the ship, then, in G. Gordon Liddy fashion, resurrect himself as some victim to the remaining hivedwellers.

Oh, I love burning wingnuts in the evening...

After listening for about 30 seconds to these guys (that's about all I can stand) I switch to a more pleasant radio station.....like classical radio or Air America Radio.

These guys (O'Really, Hannity, Rush, Savage, etc etc ad nauseum) are incredibly hateful. They really marinade themselves in it, spend hours and hours coming up with new vitrol.

Savage of course is the worst of them all. This CANNOT be good for the psyche over the long haul. It must be like drinking Dran-O drain cleaner. It just corrodes and burns the spirit. It's impossible to listen to these guys without feeling really hateful. Just think what it does to them.

Sure enough, in last week's Parade magazine, there was an article about O'Really. He was sponsoring a trip through the Grand Canyon with about 50 of his 'closest' friends. In every photo, he was frowning. Not a smile to be found on the man's face. Just imagine, in such a beautiful place, wouldn't you smile?

But that's the price he paid - he ended up with a poisoned soul from all that negativity. And he has to wake up with himself every morning.

17. It Goes Deeper...These People Have Serious Troubles
I worked in the cesspool that bred these people...I know from where they started and how much ass they probably kissed to climb the "food chain"...the goal "their own show". Trust me, there's not a radio person who doesn't get a big rush out of seeing their name in lights. That's the first opiate. It grows when a show starts getting popular as one will develop "regulars" and develop a feeling of power for those three or four hours they sit in that studio.

The ego mounts as one moves from market to market...if you're right in Topeka, you're twice as right in Sacramento and even more right when you get to New York, and beyond right when you set up your own network. Markets, ratings, book sales, crowds at personal appearances, getting one's assed kissed by pol and so on are part of this a conveluted personal value system that rates their radio personna as their only value in life. It's sad and I've seen it ruin lives, marriages and families. And fortunately, I life I chose to avoid.

These "media stars" live in a real fishbowl. Most of their lives revolve around their shows and those whose fate are tied to it. It's yes men and "suits" and trade mags and shows...a very, very small world. These people are trapped in it...how ironic as they decry the "Hollywood" set for being the same way (they are). The difference is the Hollywood types are always viewed as primarily fictious, cartoon characters, while these goons believe their broadcast personna and that they hold some unique insight and power with millions of people. Scary, very scary.

The good thing is we've had these shysters in the past. Some in LA may remember a goon by the name of Joe Pyne who was the godfather of hate radio. Or there was Wally George. Museum pieces. Look at Dr. Laura...her hypocrisies became so great it destroyed both her personal life and radio personna...she hasn't been the same since. Rush's day is about to come, too...long overdue...and then the rest will follow.

You are correct about the "one trick pony" aspect of how these guys operate. It's vitriol that has to be topped by more vitriol. They use "libruls" like a Stern or other shock jocks will use sex...it gets attention and breeds that pack mentality these morons thrive on. How can one be so hateful all the time?

You know that a Savage has to go home after his hatefest and spend the rest of the night finding more things to hate. What a horrible way to live. Yes, there's pity for these creatures...but only once they're vanquished from the airwaves.

Cheers!

14. I believe his time at Harvard was spent writing that shitty book.
When he was "at Harvard", he wasn't a young, talented student from a working class family, as he tries to let on. He was a middle aged tabloid TV journalist with a year to kill.

18. Misleading............

O'Reilly is hated by some on the right, but not that many. I would say 90% of the people who hate O'Reilly are on the left. Most of the people on the right who hate O'Reilly do so because he is not conservative enough for them. A few people on the right also hate O'Reilly because he is a republican and he makes them look bad.

While you are correct a few on the right hate O'Reilly, it is a small minority of his haters and for different reasons than the people on the left hate him.

After all 91% of his viewers are either moderate republicans or conservative republicans. While only 3% of Democrats watch him, and only 6% of Independents watch him.

The right can't hate him too much if 91% of his viewers are republican.
