Haha - AIR MARSHALS SAY PASSENGER OVERREACTED
Remember that Wall Street Journal writer who freaked out about those musicians on her plane? Her rabid fear-mongering was spread far and wide in the right wing echo chamber.

It turns out the air marshalls on the flight thought she overreacted!

God, I fuckin' hate the right wing and their fear mongering. They disgust me. Wingnuts are suck fuckin' wimps.

"Undercover federal air marshals on board a June 29 Northwest airlines flight from Detroit to LAX identified themselves after a passenger, 'overreacted,' to a group of middle-eastern men on board, federal officials and sources have told KFI NEWS.

The passenger, later identified as Annie Jacobsen, was in danger of panicking other passengers and creating a larger problem on the plane, according to a source close to the secretive federal protective service.

Jacobsen, a self-described freelance writer, has published two stories about her experience at womenswallstreet.com, a business advice web site designed for women.

'The lady was overreacting,' said the source. 'A flight attendant was told to tell the passenger to calm down; that there were air marshals on the plane.'"

8. Most excellent, mellowinman!
I think it's great that you've been on this story. It sounds like this woman needed a story really bad, and used bigotry to make a few bucks and a name for herself. This is not unlike those stories of women from the Victorian era, or the segregated South who would conjure up the story that some swarthy man raped her just to get attention. Eventually, the truth would come to light, but it was too late. The poor guy had already met his fate. The authorities would shake their heads in dismay and that was that.

It's simply unconscionable that a newspaper would print this incendiary garbage without first making sure the person telling the story wasn't just making shit up. Of course, if our media started doing that, they'd have nothing to sell.

2. in other words
"Air marshals’ only tactical advantage on a flight is their anonymity, the source said, and Jacobsen could have put the entire flight in danger."

SO this woman panicked so much that she blew the cover of the air marshals on board, and then has the gall to write stories that claim that the airport security was a joke.

3. Just call her Kato - she is getting her 15 minutes of fame.
I only wish the marshal had her arrested after the flight for causing the problems on the plane. Bigoted, hateful reptile!

9. Gender-segregated business advice?
from their website:

"WomansWallStreet, Inc. Founder David Bennett spent more than 13 years as a financial advisor to a largely female clientele. Through this experience, David learned that women approach finance and investment more conservatively than men, valuing financial security and trusted opinions before making investment decisions. David's brainchild, WomensWallStreet.com, was created to deliver reliable and trustworthy financial information to women of all ages, occupations and lifestyles."

Ah, figures. A man is behind it.
