Terrorism at the Democratic Convention?

A lot of people have speculated that "terra-rists" will attempt to "disrupt our democratic process" by attacking the elections or, alternately, the conventions.

Those who believe in MIHOP or LIHOP have said that there is no way they'll go after the Dem convention because it would deliver sympathy to the Democrats, and it would imply that the terrorists are against Kerry and want Bush to win more.

But... what if they attack this so-called "free speech zone"? Mostly Republicans -- and everyone is already up in arms blaming Kerry for the "free speech zone" anyway. Claiming that Kerry and the Democrats are caging people. That could make people sitting ducks for an attack, even though I'm certain security will be super-tight. IF the convention is going to be attacked, I'd wager that would be target #1.

Thoughts?
