1. You can book it that there will be a LOT more disinfranchised voters....

....in a LOT more states this time as well....I'd BET there are many many registrar's offices that've made it so millions more people are suddenly NOT on the rosters come election day....that's the way I'm gonna view it this year...I'm not gonna get any hope up that it's goin' our way....not this time...I'm thinkin' the worst...and expectin' pure unadulterated EVIL....because I'VE GOT TO MISTER!!! x(

Aides to Mr. Kerry say the campaign is taking the unusual step of setting up a nationwide legal network under its own umbrella, rather than relying, as in the past, on lawyers associated with state Democratic parties. The aides said they were recruiting people based on their skills as litigators and election lawyers, rather than rewarding political connections or big donors.

The article also details pre-election efforts to ensure voting rights. And it mentions activities by other groups--mostly working with the Democrats, but Republicans are busy, too. Just more secretive.

3. I know what you mean

but this is not really Kerry's fight. It is our fight. It is our responsibility to make sure the election is not stolen. Would it be possible for us to be at a location just off the election site and have voters write down how they voted so that we have at least some idea what the actual vote count should be if there is a question? We need to be very vocal about this. What is the harm of a second check and balances if there is no funny business going on?

Maybe a few percent at the best.
Some of the states that are badly diebolded like GA are probably stupid enough to go bush anyway.

No I think we need to concentrate on overwhelming victory.

They gave Florida all they had in 2000. Gore should have won the state by at least 50000 votes. It took Cruella and Jebby and a whole lot of luck to keep it in play and even then they couldnt pull it out and had to get it shut down by the scotus.

Only if its very close will they have the chance to steal it. BBV or not.

6. I've heard 1/3rd of US voting precincts will be using electronic voting

machines this November. However, I'm not sure how many will provide paper receipts, and if these can be used as ballots for a recount. I could be wrong about all of this though :crazy:. Guess I need to go over to BBV and check out the latest.

5. Diligence, Poll Watchers, Citizens Who Won't Be Intimidated...

Other than that, there's not much we can do that I can think of. Kerry could speak on the issue (delicately without direct accusation) to hint and remind people that their diligence is required. A "neighborhood watch" at the polling place to stand-down Jim Crow and police intimidation tactics. (Their very presence at some polling places--or the entrance to the polling places--scares some folks away.)

8. By being the preferred candidate. . .

of the war-mongering Establishment. The folks who stole the election to put Bush in power have no problem with Kerry. He's going to increase military spending, keep the Patriot Act, and continue to promote global corporate domination by sell "free trade".

All this without sounding so stupid. And for instance, as the "War on Terror" continues to be brutal and unjust, the "liberals" will be to blame! God knows, the republican types won't protest the war, and the liberals won't either (they hardly do now, for f***'s sake) as it would make their "leader" look bad.

Never fear. John Kerry will be the next president. But it will be close and dramatic. Trust me.

9. My thoughts

EVERYONE should request absentee ballots and vote absentee. THAT IS still a paper ballot. How great would it be if EVERY democrat in America requested an absentee ballot and cast their vote that way?

How does that work? Don't you have to prove you're not at your regular place of address during an election? Excuse my ignorance here.
