Late last month, President Bush lost his greatest advantage in his bid for reelection. A poll conducted by ABC News and The Washington Post discovered that challenger John Kerry was running even with the president on the critical question of whom voters trust to handle the war on terrorism. Largely as a result of the deteriorating occupation of Iraq, Bush lost what was, in April, a seemingly prohibitive 21-point advantage on his signature issue. But, even as the president's poll numbers were sliding, his administration was implementing a plan to insure the public's confidence in his hunt for Al Qaeda.

That Fox, CNN and the like will trumpet it 24/7 for weeks as a symbol of Bush's manliness & ability as a leader in the War on Terror... so, it won't just be a temporary bump. We'll get every little sign things are going well as a sign we're winning the war.

But we are not winning this colonial Iraqi war militarily. I would argue the war on terror is also getting sidetracked in the meantime.
Ultimaely it will be the Chimp's undoing.

and eclipse John Kerry during his most important week.

It's putting politics above national security and if this article is true, Bush SHOULD be impeached AGAIN for something he won't be held accountable for.

11. Hate to say this, but

if Osama is "caught" (defrosted, exhumed, whatever), it's over. The mushy muddle who are still undecided at this point will fall to Bush.

Same thing goes if there is another attack on American soil. Then it will be "you don't switch presidents when we are under attack."

Oh, yeah, and if gasoline gets back down to a buck fifty, it goes to Bush too.
