New GOP talking point.
"The MANY troops coming home from Iraq are SHOCKED by the negative reporting here at home".

I've heard this from three different Republicans on TV in the last day or so.

Apparently it's been a 24 hour a day party for our troops over there according to General Rove.

Except for the 900+ dead and Thousands of maimed soldiers.

11. In talking to some who are being called back for a 2nd tour in Iraq...
they are refusing to go..

returning troops are in touch with remaining troops. They know how dangerous the situation is over there and the shortfalls of necessary logistics, such as ammunition and vests..

This is an outright lie by the GOP..

4. Yes I just heard that from some GOP robot on CNN. Is it appearing
elsewhere too? What about all the new troops going there? Still 140K last time I saw. Trying to make it appear that people are coming home now. Shameless liars.

6. In addition to making it seem like they're coming home............
it's a jab at the 'Liberal Media' for only covering the negatives with regard to Iraq.

9. There is a rotation. The talking point is designed to give the appearance
that there is a net withdrawal of troops. But the overal same number of trooops is being maintained by new troops (many of them reservists and National Guardsmen) being sent over. So there is no withdrawal, only a rotation.

Said that things are going great in Iraq and then wolf asked him "But we have 900 american troops dead. how do you see things going great?"

It was some congressman from California.

8. Iraq was not a news vacuum
My brother just got back from Iraq - but we emailed monthly and his entire Armored Division watched CNN, FOX, and BBC. They were, and are up on the news, the opinions, and the zeitgeist of this war.

This is purely Rovian Propaganda - Again using the US Armed Forces as a political tool.

FUCK YOU Chicken Hawk Neocons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
