I haven't read the book yet, but this C-SPAN event has moved "What's the Matter with Kansas" to the top of my list.

A sudden thought popped into my head as I watched Tom Frank: All the publicity the Martha Stewart persecutionl has gotten fits perfectly with Frank's theory. Martha Stewart is the IDEAL scapegoat villain for the Ashcroft "Justice" Department and for media moguls such as Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes. She's the exemplar of "liberal elite", and she's a fearless, articulate woman.
