Kerry waving to Bush/Cheney people
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 02:26 PM by JI7
did anyone see as kerry was ending his event people were standing around and shaking his hand as he went by. there were a few buffoons out there with bush/cheney signs and kerry was waving at them. some of them even reached out to shake kerry's hands and kerry shook it. i wonder if they were expecting kerry to come off as an angry hateful asshole like the candidate they support.

1. This is just more evidence that Kerry is a right wing whore
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 02:36 PM by TexanForKerry
Just like that neocon Barak Obama.

:eyes:

Edit: added rolling eyes to denote sarcasm. I apologize for any confusion.

check the person's post history.

the comment was mocking some of the other posts on here which accuse democrats of being right wingers and other things for any little thing.

but i think i have seen other posts from this person and they are a huge kerry supporter.

It's kind funny, since in posts of the other topics I post in I inevitably get yelled at by people who really do think Kerry is a right wing whore. At least this was a nice change of pace.

for saying he thinks bush is "sincere but misguided in his desire to keep America strong" on meet the press this morning.

on edit: well, i think that's a likely impetus for the joke. I can't speak for TexansforKerry, of course.

20. I'm sorry, I was seriously joking
I'm not just anti-bush, I'm seriously in love with Kerry, and I have been supporting him since back when he was behind Sharpton in the polls. I always get annoyed with people who think Kerry is too conservative, and I was poking a little fun at them here.

My mistake.....I guess I am still angry at seeing those bu$h lovers trying to disrupt Kerry's meeting in front of that house today....the stupid little idiots with their Bu$h/Cheney signs and yelling and screaming....They are so rude....then getting up in his face as he was leaving......bet they didn't expect for him to be so nice to them, considering their "leader" who doesn't ALLOW dissent. Again,I am sorry. I really did think you were pro-Bu$h. :hi:

44. "Do I dare to eat a peach" is a line from a poem by T.S. Eliot
and it is a highly topical slam against Republicans who have their fingers stuck in their ears singing la-la-la-la when anybody tries to tell them some facts about their Beloved Leader.

The person in the poem - J. Alfred Prufrock - has a lot of fears, and those fears prevent him from enjoying life. His fear about eating a peach is that it will be messy, won't look elegant enough, he'll be laughed at....

This poster is skilled at the use of irony.

37. I think it's nerves.
I think we're all sensing BIG TIME momentum in our direction, and we're nervous about what to do with it. We all need to chill... laugh... and look to gestures like Kerry's as inspiration. We can be outraged... we can rant... we can get in their faces and let them know we're pissed... we just have to do it with smiles on our faces.

And then he went on to mention some things that ya wouldn't want four more years of!!!

13. Kerry held an event in from of someone's home
it was in a neighborhood full of homes so anyone around there can just show up. he has been doing it for about a couple of weeks now i think. it's a new idea, similar to town hall meetings but difference is the candidate comes to your home instead . they call it the "front porch" campaign.

he did have his secret service guys around him though. but this isn't much different from other kerry events especially the rallies where it's open to the public.

42. Being close to all of the people
is a fabulous contrast to Bush, who is afraid of most of us. Clinton was great at being comfortable with the people also. Can only work to Kerry's advantage in my book. Add cutie Edwards to the mix, and they definitely look and act like they are one of us.

34. How cool and classy of him
Reminds me of March when we were all going down to Crawford from Dallas to protest the one-year anniversary of the war in Iraq. There was ONE GUY out there in the Dallas parking lot where we were meeting who was acting as a counter-protester. He had a little sign that made no sense (I couldn't even figure out what he was doing at first).

The guy who organized the Dallas caravan got on the microphone and asked for a round of applause for our one counterprotester because freedom of speech and freedom in general is what this country is all about and it took a lot of guts to come out and be by himself protesting the 100 of us or so who were caravaning down to Crawford. So we all clapped and looked back at him and smiled and serveral people went over and shook his hand, introduced themselves, and asked him about his positions on the war. Of course he thought the war was a good thing but the discussion was mature and reasoned. Then our people shook his hand again, said nice to meet you and we all got in our cars and headed out. He smiled at us and waved as we left.

46. That makes me feel great! I'm so proud of fellow Dems doing that.
The freepers are always laughing at liberals for being wimpy peace-niks. What they don't get is that everybody likes to be treated with kindness.

Who doesn't want love?

Love and kindness goes a long way. Seems to me I remember somebody important saying that a long time ago. Somebody named Jesus. Oh well, I guess he's not very important anyway.....

awfully close and he towers head and shoulders over Bush in thinking, vision, empathy, consideration, benevolency, altruism, courage, bravery, manliness, Statesmanship, Class, Manners, wit, and a desire to do the Right Thing.

Bush is Toast compared to Kerry.
