You know, if Al-Qaeda really wanted to disrupt the elections...
and that statement of theirs said they preferred Bush over Kerry...
if Bush has been so good to their cause, wouldn't they do something to ensure his re-election?

Wouldn't it suit them or their nutty offshoots to attack Kerry & Co. instead? As they say in their statement, he'd use "cunning" and do a much better job than Bush.

The security is undoubtedly much weaker, as there's no way Ashcroft/Ridge/etc care about anything other than their own party...

In the event of some attack, Bush would lash out at the most convenient country... completely unrelated to anything but his own crazed interests: maybe Iran's nyukular facilities, maybe Syria... making for more enemies, more recruits, more chaos... he'd break the Dem's momentum and possibly take the election... or delay it.

What's disturbing is that both Bush and Bin Laden always seem to profit from the same events...

Spain should give them pause, but the talking heads have been insisting for months that an attack would mean people would rally to Bush. Then again, these same talking heads have been wrong consistently for many years now.

If Kerry wins, its going to be interesting to see how this continues - my guess is that OBL or his Destro, the Egyptian Doctor, will release a statement filled with demands, insanely offering a truce. I wonder how Kerry will handle that and any ensuing attacks as opposed to Bush?

Hopefully by not invading Iraq again, which will continue to fester as this jihad business keeps spreading.

3. A terrorist attack would be GOOD for Bush....

...assuming that it is reasonably close to election time (within a week or two). It causes panic, fear, and people will rally around him. Then a week or two later kick themselves in the ass for not realizing that: "Hey, that bastard said we'd be safer and we were attacked! He lied to me!"

Simple fact is... Bush would benefit from an attack because he'd get a temporary surge of support. On top of that the Media will shift heavily in his favor (even worse than now). I also wouldn't be shocked if we got a suicide bomber in one of those holding pens. That pen, with only two exits, is just asking for trouble. Imagine if someone blew themselves up in there, right in the middle, and imagine the panic. Idiots, whoever created those pens needs to be fired and locked in a cage themselves.

10. Bush Would Benefit

If that were to happen many people would be running around like Chicken Little. Where would they run? To the great comforter, the one that climbed up on the rubble and rattled his sword. They only have that vision in their mind, are not listening to the 9/11 report and certainly are not listening to Michael Moore. These are the people that frighten me, the ones I call the sheep. I am already expecting that to happen but it will not deter me from doing what is right.

Unable to pull off another attack since 9/11? What alternate universe are you living in, because I might want to check out the rent prices there.

They've pulled off what, dozens of attacks in the years since?

Kidnappings, bombings, beheadings, etc... and still Osama is free. Nice work, Bush.

in an attempt? That's ridiculous. They want a "change" so that the "soft Democrat" lets them in? Ask the "Millenium" bomb plotters about that. Seems to me that the only attack they ever have "pulled off" in this country was eight months into Bush*'s term.

7. I wouldn't be so sure

I was watching a focus group of undecided Ohio voters on CSpan last night. When asked what might convince them to vote for Bush, several said, "another terrorist attack." I think there are a lot of people who won't want to switch presidents in an emergency.

9. This is a case where there is a disconnect between

what these people say, and what they will do.

If they panic, they have to run *away from* not towards the percieved cause of the danger. The danger of terrorism (Tim Mc Veigh not withstanding) actually became manifest in the Bush admin. Before that, the Dems had it contained. That is fairly common knowledge now. It will be the mantra in the wake of the next attack.

4. If Kerry wins, he needs to name a Secretary of Peace who would give him

a plan within 60 days.

But, maybe that is what the 'Peace Resident', Bush, is planning for his campaign, not in reality, however, because there is NOTHING sincere or honest about him and the cabal.
