Franken bitch-slapping Matthews on Hardball
Tweety just asked Al if it's good to have all-right wing radio programs or all left-wing type shows. Franken came back saying that there used to be a Fairness Doctrine but they got rid of that. And that noone said anything about fairness when there was just all Conservatiove talk. But as soon as there was a left wing network, people are asking if that's good. Then Franken yelled "Yes, it's good. Are you crazy, Chris? What's the matter with you!" Well, that's a very close paraphrase. Next, you see Matthews looking down at his notes.

Al was great and he's not speaking in his usual slow and measured way. He's fast on the button and hitting back hard.

6. Yes, but he never learns
Don Imus took him to task (near the end of the Democratic debates) for ALWAYS interrupting his guests while they are in the middle of responding to his questions.

Imus was as abrupt, direct and coarse with Matthews as he is with everyone else. He let him have it with both barrels and did not mince words. I believe he even said "Jesus, what's WRONG with you?"

Matthews grinned like an idiot because, well...after all, he IS an idiot. To him it was a big joke and Imus was having fun with him. What he didn't know (and if he did, didn't care about) was that a week earlier Imus went off on a 5 minute rant during his morning show on the same topic: "Matthews WOULD be good if he learned how to LISTEN."

7. Thanks for telling us about the Imus exchange
Well, if he never learns - then it'll be fun watching him get slapped down now and then. This was especially sweet because I have to believe that Tweety expected the usual slow-talking Franken this evening. Instead he got a bull dog who bit the ankle fast and hard.

Btw, earlier he was asking other guests if Ron Reagan would actually talk about other things besides stem cell research. RR has asserted over and over recently that he would only be talking stem cell. So, either CM is uninformed or has nothing more cogent to talk about but starting dumb memes. Either way, he has his head up his ass.

5. Yes and she just said something interesting
She said she wouldn't fault Bush for being stunned at the news on 9/11 in the classroom. I'm wondering if she's being clever because what she does is point out that the president did something that needs forgiving.

8. It was when Bush remained sitting statuelike for "9min" that was stunning.
