6. The Yankees fans who booed cheney
have at least one redeeming feature. How will Yankee fans respond to a New Englander as pres.? Just kidding Yankee fans.

15. There were boos. . .
. . .if you notice ESPN kept the sound down to make sure you heard neither. . .its a ball park the crowd reaction will always be mixed unless you are Bush at Yankee Stadium right after 9/11.

24. Who Was The Pres Who Threw A Grounder?
Was it Papa Bush?

I'll bet Jim Bunning wouldn't throw a grounder...

Geez, the pitcher I watched as a little kid is now a Repug senator.....

The horror....

19. That was my reaction
I have to admit I winced when it bounced up there. Oh well, if that's Kerry's biggest flaw, I can live with that! :)

14. Yikes
that was definately less than a strike. Oh well its only baseball. Lowe will be throwing like Kerry did tonight.

17. F you. Lowe generally is solid at Fenway
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 07:06 PM by Bombtrack
If I were Kerry I would have taken about 30 practice throws at some secret location. You KNOW Bush did that before the 2001 world series.

to how he pitches at home.

25. I couldn't believe it when I heard he kiteboards
That's a very difficult sport--requires a lot of concentration, and can be tough on a sixty year-old guy!

27. The freepers are gloating about this
They are also saying he was booed.

Kerry should have practiced beforehand, he wasn't even on the mound.

Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 07:38 PM by demdem
Look at the replay, they were clapping. If it was Bush, we would all be saying he got booed. Unfortunatly they just showed the replay on MSNBC and the crowd was clapping.

30. It was mixed....not surprising...
Some of the Fenway faithful boo anyone throwing out the first pitch. Not a big deal.
