Candy Crowley hits all the RNC talking points in "Born to Run" |
|
Did anyone else just see this excuse for a 'revealing biography' of John Kerry on CNN? All the criticisms and smears were included, with just a little refutation here and there.
Time after time, positive statements were followed by "or WAS he?" and "but DID it?" or "but not to EVERYone..."
They even got John O'Neill in, and of course Bob Dole saying "There are purple hearts and there are purple hearts," diminishing Kerry's and advising him not to discuss them too much.
InFURiating. I'm wondering how they'll treat the Chimp when they do his bio in late August. (Will they be interviewing Michael Moore?)
Grrrr....

I just posted on this very subject, Sparkly. I am FURIOUS at the blatant whoring for the RNC.
Here's my post from the dupe thread:
Here's to Candy Crowley. Her 1hr piece on Kerry was only 70% antiKerry.
Amazing...in just one hour she managed to get almost every hitman used by the GOP and their RW media henchmen to rail against Kerry. She paraded Oneill, Howie Carr, the wingnut editor of the Lowell Sun who ripped at Kerry daily in his paper, Bob Dole, and some others.
She edited his full quote from the Vietnam hearings to make it sound as if Kerry was claiming the atrocities, when we all know he said that he was at the Winter Soldier meeting and HEARD OTHER SOLDIERS TESTIFY TO WHAT THEY SAW. He always used the collective WE during that hearing to refer to those he represented and they purposely edited the first part where he was more specific.
Candy Crowley is DIRT.

(My husband says this hit piece, followed by what's sure to be a Valentine to the Chimp, is "the hatchet job followed by the blowjob.")

4. I saw the opening "who is John Kerry?" |
|
I wanna know who the fuck george bush* is. This piss-poor excuse for a human has had a total pass from the press. Even the guard stint just went away as far as the press is concerned. They just swallowed this lastest bull about the pay-cards as if it meant something. I ask the question. Who (or what) is george bush*?

6. This was a blatant hatchet job. |
|
She even stressed Repug talking points--like making him seem like a flip-flopper!
And on the eve of the convention too! Don't tell me that this was the best they could do?
I feel very depressed tonight.

10. As I stated...it ws a Republican ad by a news station |
|
It was well done also....televising clips that would emphasize her commentary.
This was deliberate and caculated to run when the convention began. I am betting it will run all week.

and it made my heart ache. I had just seen/heard Candy tell the stories of John Edwards and Teresa Heniz-Kerry earlier. She was much more positive when reporting on them. I kept thinking how people watching, who were not particularly familiar with Kerry, would view him. I have never seen Candy do such a negative report. I wonder if she will do likewise with the shrub on August 29.
