Convention backdrop: America: A stronger America? |
|
I'm watching Larry King right now. Mo Rocca just walked by the backdrop. To me, America A Stronger America is, er, slightly redundant. Couldn't they simply have said A Stronger America? Or America: A Stronger Union?
As a copywriter, I would never have let that headline/subhead combination pass. Or am I being too nitpicky?

to the lowest common denominator. Yes it is redundant. Yes it is simplistic. Yes this is the only talent that * has seeemingly mastered. The vaccuous and disingenuous one liner.
Yes I will forever believe that wisdom trumps strength.
But what the heck do I know?

I like it. It rolls through the brain and evokes possibilities.
