Teresa Heinz-Kerry's home-run on Hardball. Whiplashed me! |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 08:36 PM by DemoTex
Matthews was asking her why she changed to Democratic Party. Theresa, who I am liking more and more, gave the usual background and preamble to a substantive answer. Her answer should be used to blow the Georgia branch of the GOP off of their little back-water lie-ker still. Theresa was glad to join our party after the way the Georgia rethuggs (read: Ralph Reid, Karl Rove, and Dick Cheney) treated Max Cleland in the 2002 campaign for Max's Senate seat.
You go Teresa! I'll match your antipathy for Saxby Chambliss, and raise you a vile word or two. Another stolen election. Anyway you look at it. Welcome to the party of heros like Max Cleland.

Erudite, intellectual, outspoken and powerful women are an anathema to the quintessential white southern male. She will share Hillary Clinton's pain of eight years. But, if she sticks to it, she can be a US Senator from Pennsylvania in a few years.

her son Chris, however, would be an excellent choice for Pennsylvania.

7. Would love to see Chris take on Santorum. |
|
I think he's ready. He's been on the campaign trail and doing speeches for almost two years now.
He has the best of his dad, his mom and his stepdad in him. His favorite nonfamily politician is Dennis Kucinich.
Yep...the man is ready.

8. Wouldn't that be the ultimate kick-ass race! |
|
I'd be tempted to move to Pennsylvania, just to vote for Chris and against Santorum (or "frothy mix of lube and fecal matter" as he is more commonly known)

9. That's one campaign I'd MOVE FOR. |

Santorum is a Moonie posing as a Catholic. He has carried water for Moon many times in the Senate. He is PURE EVIL.

13. It's not over with whacking Bush in 2004.... |
|
Primary goal here in PA: ousting Bush.
Next goal -- getting rid of that religiously insane hypocritical idiot Santorum.
This is my passion, and that of many others here -- and to see a clip of the lovely "Mama T" hold a press conference in which she called Rick the prick the "anti-John Heinz" -- well, that just bowled me over and I am dug in like a pit bull to send this asshole back to the 15th century where he belongs.
We ADORE Teresa here (in Pittsburgh). We don't love easily -- we love her because she is worthy of our love.
We loved her late husband -- Senator Heinz. He was a magnificent man, and would have been in the WH had he not perished so tragically. We know Mama T loved him, and we will always respect that -- but we are delighted that she has found happiness again with the future president John Kerry.
With the lovely Teresa as First Lady -- all eyes will be upon the US as it has not been since the days of Jackie. Mama T will do us proud in ways people can barely imagine.

16. It may be a different Chris taking on Santorum ... |
|
... I've been hearing buzz that Chris Matthews wants to eventually run for Senate from Pennsylvania ... and that it may be as early as the next Santorum campaign.

5. As men of honor, Dole and McCain must have been disgusted. |
|
But I am appalled that they do not/did not challenge the Chicken-hawk element that controls the GOP and that allows such an attack on Max Cleland. The same attack is shaping up against John Kerry's Purple Hearts. Never-mind that these assholes sat the Vietnam War out while Kerry, Cleland, others, and I got our innocence robbed at gun-point ... they are readying a draft for middle- and lower-class kids to march off to their Crusades in Iraq and Iran. All for oil, money and - yes - Jesus Christ.
Fear them. Fear them big.

14. Actually, McCain and Hagel both ... |
|
...blasted the Georgia republicans for that ad. They both stood up for Cleland and defended him. I've always thought that was why they pulled those ads after only running them a couple of times. McCain and Hagel have also defended Kerry when the bushites attack his military record
I don't know very much about Hagel, but it baffles me that McCain isn't fighting harder to oust these chicken hawk, neocon bastards, and reclaim his party.

Maybe an infidelity or something. Hell, this gang of thugs aren't past drugging him and photographing him with a young boy. They are THAT evil.

I've been impressed with her for a while, but tonight on Hardball, she blew me away. The lady is intelligent, articulate, interesting, thoughtful, honest, compassionate and unafraid to speak her mind. She just has to be our next First Lady! I can't take another four years of Pickles, The Stepford Wife!!!
Every time I see Laura, I can't help but think, "Our First Lady is a complete doormat." What kind of message is she sending to millions of young girls across the country?

12. I hope she holds it all together through November |
|
This is gonna be stressful for her, and sometimes she looks, well...stressed.
I sometimes find it odd how she will occasionall pull away from Kerry when he tries to kiss her in public. I also found it kinda odd how she kept trying to get Edwards' son to get his finger out of his mouth during that photo op at their house in Pittsburg.

15. And Tweety's "Deer in the Headlights" moment.. |
|
Who did his research? She nailed him on that "first foriegn-born First Lady" fuck-up.
Gawd, it was a PERFECT "Caroline Thau Moment"....(Caroline Thau was an Indianapolis TV teleprompter reader who would bug her eyes out and look like she'd swallowed her gum everytime the red light on top of her camera came on)
