Gotta love the "liberal media"
BOSTON — John Kerry made a surprise appearance at the Yankees-Red Sox baseball game Sunday night to throw out the opening pitch, making an early arrival in the city where Democratic delegates were gathering to nominate him for president.

Bostonians showed their resentment for the Democratic National Convention that has locked down their city by greeting their hometown senator with a mixed chorus of boos and cheers. Kerry kept smiling as he threw out a pitch that sank and hit the dirt before the catcher — a soldier home from Iraq — could catch it.

How many times was Bush booed, but it didn't make the lead/bridge of the story?

How many errant balls did Bush throw, but didn't make the lead/bridge in the story?

1. My brother-in-law is at the game
I'll find out the real story tomorrow.

In the meantime, my 11 o'clock news will interview all the freeper Red Sox fans to make it seem like Kerry wasn't welcome. :eyes:

2. I didn't see it, but
was told the "boos" were a response after he threw the ball, when it wasn't caught... ?

7. No, it is a combination of things
The fact that "journalists" aren't working stiffs anymore, but Imperial Aristocrats.

Corporate Consolidation and the effect of removing the "Fairness Doctrine".

A concerted effort to force sea changes in journalistic practiced and ethics through the creation of a Party-Loyal Sub-Media and senedign unpricipled Party Loyalists to infect and parasitize the remnants of the Formerly Free Press.

5. The 'soldier home from Iraq' picking Kerry's pitch out of the dirt
is using imagery to evoke a Kerry administration where the soldiers in Iraq are having to clean up after Kerry can't handle the job of Commander in Chief. He's so not up to the job that they'll have to fly men back from Iraq to help Kerry do even small, ceremonial things, when he's supposed to be helping them. Get it?

Kerry was throwing a knuckleball, btw. It's a real hard pitch for even a professional to throw well, and it sinks.

6. Knuckleball-that exactly what I thought
It had a lot of action on it but I knew how this was going to be spun.
