Was Kerry really supposed to go to Florida today?
I'm not getting into tin foil hat territory, but I heard the announcers on ESPN saying he was supposed to go to Cape Canaveral, but ended up going to Fenway. I assumed they were just joking around, but perhaps I'm wrong. I also saw a few posts here mentioning the same thing.

I just find it hard to believe that him showing up at the Sox/Yankees game was a huge surprise. I mean, he did throw out the first pitch, and that's usually arranged well in advance.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

2. I suspect that was a cover story
I read that Kerry planned this in secret last week.

3. Thanks
It seems (in retrospect) like a very natural move. Being from Mass., Yanks in town, before the convention opens, etc.

4. Sounds good to me
I certainly don't know. I think it was in a Yahoo news article someone posted.

5. ck the Kerry-Edwards blog - the blogger says they're taking a
midnight flight to Florida, after having stopped at Fenway.
