Kerry: 'Four More Years of What?'

"With 100 campaign days remaining, Sen. John Kerry (search) sought votes in the quintessential battleground state of Ohio...."

"Four more years of what?" Kerry responded pointedly to a group of President Bush's supporters who greeted him noisily at his appearance in Columbus.

"Four more years of jobs being lost, four more years of the deficit growing bigger and bigger? Four more years of losing our allies around the world? We know we can restore our alliances around the world and make America strong again," added the four-term Massachusetts senator, running even to slightly ahead of Bush in the pre-convention polls.

I really like the fact that Kerry engaged this group, and asked them substantive questions. Kerry is all about substance, whereas republicans are not.

4. kerry never shies away from his critics
he may be combative, but he addresses them. there was a picture of john in today's paper, shaking the hand of a bush supporter (he was wearing a bush shirt and hoLding a sign). it's refreshing - a candidate who actuaLLy adresses his critics. how can you not Like the guy.. unLess you're a rabid, partisan asshoLe.

5. A Great Campaign Stop In Columbus
I watched this on C-SPAN yesterday. Kerry doing something Bunnypants wouldn't dare. He went into a neighborhood...a middle class one...predominately black, and just let the people talk while he listened. It was a fascinating session as neighbors took time to ask question and engage Kerry. This wasn't scripted, just how a politician does his thing and connects with the voters.

Of course the media will look for that one piece of right wing "red meat" and run with that as totally avoid the messages and issues that came across in this true episode of the American political system in action.

Forget Bunnypants doing anything that resembles contact with working people, minorities or anyone whose net worth is less than 6 figures.

In a way, I'm glad the media has ignored this as it's also ignoring the large groundswell of a need for change growing in this country. The media assholes say this is "Bush hate"...I look at it as loving our country and taking it back from those who are destroying it. I don't hate Bush...I hate EVERYTHING regarding this regime. Is that good enough?
