How military service personnel |
|
can see President Bush.
Received the following email as representative of how military personnel can see Bush as he travels to a midwest city. Names have been changed to protect the innocent. Ahhh...the irony.
Quoting from the email.
" ----------- "
I have been given access to about 25-50 tickets to see President Bush speak this Friday afternoon when he is in ------ . I believe the location is the --------. They are at this point only available to veterans only and are Standing area only. I am currently attemptng to determine who would like to attend but have a very narrow time window to confirm the number of tickets before they will be offered to another unit. My deadline is tuesday for knowing who will attend and Wednesday getting the paperwork associated for their attendence.
I ask that you forward this email on to other members of the GVA. What will be required to attend is the completion of a security questionnaire. this questionnaire will need to be completed ASAP. I will have a supply available on Monday. Anyone interested can contact me at ------------- or ------------.
Thanks for your assistance."
-------------------- So there you have it folks. Not only do we now need a ticket to see our president, our troops are offered 'Standing room only' after having completed a security questionnaire. Wow. Gee, thanks George. Can you spell p-a-r-a-n-o-i-a.

1. Could "the innocent" say yes... |
|
...and pass on if the "security" questionnaire veers into political territory?

I'd love to see the questionaire.
There's been a lot of noise about limiting access to Bunnypants and Kerry, such as issuing tickets to campaign events. I saw Arnie Arnesen step into it yesterday. I see a need to keep crowds controlled and tickets do that better than anything else. How those tickets are issued and to whom is another story.
For years, the GOOP has relied on church groups and VFW posts to fill their rallies, but I guess that dog don't hunt this time around. Bunnypants is truely in a bubble and it's so obvious in his apperances. Rarely will you see him in anything but a military or factory setting...highly controlled. I'm hoping the boy will make a faux pas like his old man did with the supermarket scanner sometime in the near future that will just highlight how out of touch with "Real Americans" this regime is.
If there's a story rippling in the undercurrent here in the Midwest, it's the way this government is out of touch with "reality". They say the economy is good and getting better when many see it as bad and not improving. They say we're safer, yet we know this nation is more vulnerable now than ever. A white lie...or one that no one feels directly (like a lie over a blowjob) is one thing...a lie that hits your pocketbook or flies in the face of your everyday reality is another. The GOOP is about to meet this fact of life.
