Heard over the weekend that Bush* said by executive order that
people cannot sue pharmaceutical companies any longer. His logic is that if FDA approved the drug it is no longer a liability for the pharmaceutical company. Congress could do something like this because they have the authority but Bush* does not but I'm sure the Congress will rubber stamp it just like everything else Bush* has wanted.

4. That can't be true. The FDA approves based on information it is given
Such information from a pharm company is based on clinical trials, which, sadly, are not as all-encompassing as Big Pharma would like us to believe. That's where the lawsuits hit them, that they distorted the information obtained from clinical trials, or hid information which would have negatively altered the results, or they did not perform clinical trials on a sufficient percentage of the target population.

A drug approval, believe it or not, requires almost a tractor-trailer load of documents. All that documentation can be overwhelming, especially with people wanting better drugs, more drugs. Thus the margin for error is higher.

I'd really like to see a link to a story on this one, because the lawyers will be all over it like stink on sh**.

8. Considering nearly every member of this Fraudministration is tied to the .
..pharmaceutical companies, this isn't at all surprising. Blatantly unconstitutional, but then so's the very existence of this unelected piece of shit's occupancy of the White House.
