Everyone enjoying the Republican convention? |
|
On air today I have seen Bay Buchanan, Ralph Reed, Bill Hemmer pleading that we don't bash Bush and some polls asking whether Theresa Heinz hurts her husband's chances. Fair is fair, equal time and all...does anyone know what date the Democratic convention starts?

1. How much do you want to bet |
|
that the main TV networks will "change their mind" for the GOP convention and give lots more coverage?

2. I saw Bob Dole, Jack Cafferty |

and was told multiple times that Kerry is easily "overshadowed" and they still haven't resolved the mystery around why his message hasn't gotten out.
I guess this answers the whole "how will they cover the Dem convention without talking to (rather than "for and "about") Democrats" question.

3. This is all good-- maybe |

Remember the 2000 convention. All the pre-convention coverage was about how dull Gore was, how he was running away from CLinton, how the Democrats had no message, etc.
When Gore delivered his grand slam speech, it proved the media wrong.
If Kerry nails his speech, the media is left looking foolish, and this helps Kerry more.

4. I half expect them to pre-empt Kerry's speech |
|
Since he is "boring" anyhow and the world view now hinges on someone telling a report to "shove it".
