Liberal Women should be more like Laura & Barb, not like Teresa |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 01:55 PM by mopaul
teresa and hilary are just tooooo uppity. it's obvious they are ate up with penis envy and want to rule vicariously through their whipped husbands. hilary, teresa, elanor roosevelt, all uppity women who should keep their mouths shut and bake cookies and front literacy groups.
laura, always smiling, always supportive and polite to reporters. laura, not a mean bone in her body, and barbara, what a fine example of the perfect first lady. gracious, compassionate and motherly. not like that shrill abrasive teresa kerry who is a millionaire for god's sake.
you liberal women who have a macho complex and want to change american politics through your liberal impotent husbands had better just give it up and git back into the kitchen where you belong. or the bedroom.

1. I know you are trying to make a point |
|
And I good one I might add. However, there's an underlying attitude of this here at DU. Not trying to start a flame war but this is so prevelent in our society, we just can't seem to get away from it.
sigh....
I'll rather be Hillary than Laura anyday. Stepford, anyone?

Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 02:27 PM by EndElectoral
Looks like Kerry did ok for himself in that department with some fine daughters.
Jeez, one minute the Repubs are complaining about the oversexed antics of Clinton or Kennedy, and now liberal husbands are impotent.
Make up your mind Laura. I think I saw you on a 50's rerun of Father Knows Best on Nikolodeon. Go back to the soccer field.
I'd much rather listen to Teresa than Laura. Go back to Freeperville.

9. If we start emulating Bar and Laura... |
|
...that means we'll have to be vindictive, elitist shrews or cowed and silenced helpmates who get trotted out for state visits. Oh, goody.

13. Well, I never. What's wrong with my drapes? |
|
Just Like Laura (JLL), I have worn saris and sarongs made out of drapes. And a shawl from sofa upholstery which was going to charity anyway. I even fashioned a swell coordinating hat with the arm covers!
My man said it makes good financial sense, and wouldn't make us look snooty. Well, he wears Armani, but he tells me it's a completely different thing, because I'm the wife of an important man, and so it is important for me not to be important.
It made sense, once he explained it to me.
Those uppity women: I think it would be better if they would just look adoring and adorable!! And my man's mother said you can be both!! And then she said to be quiet!!;-)

Couldn't get ahold of any flowers that particular day.
Don't misunderestimate Babs, though -- sometimes I think she might be the "Bloody Mama" who's running the whole show!
What a crew.

All of this damned rhetoric just makes me cherish Hillary and Teresa more. How wonderfully they stand out when compared to the pug wives. The Democratic Party can only get stronger when they continue recognizing and utilizing the intellect and abilities of female democrats. I am very proud today. I have waited it seems forever for this convention and its beginning is making me sing for joy.
(BTW, I love your artwork and cartoons. Just great! Thank you so much for your valuable contribution to our party and country.)
