Hillary, kickin' tail and takin' names on CNN with Woodruff |
|
Anyone watching?
"Some polls ask voters 'Who would you rather have a beer with?' These are not the kinds of questions we should be asking in the 21st Century. Who would you rather be in a foxhole with? Who would you put the lives of your children and family into the hands of? When voters ask these questions, John Kerry is the answer."
She's also laughing off the "Extreme Makeover" charges of the Repubs, pointing out their list of pro-choice speakers at their own convention in September.

Telling the truth about the Repubs is the most damaging thing we can do to them......

"I think she's doing fine. She's got a tremendous, wonderful, energetic attitude that people respond to. She's very independent, she says what she thinks. And who hasn't been frustrated with these reporters! I think it goes with the territory."

"Who would you rather be in a foxhole with?"
I'll bet Carville came up with that one.
Good for Hillary.

10. About her chances in 2008 or 2012, and more on Bush: |
|
"You know, Judy, I just don't see politics as a zero-sum game like that. I guess it makes for interesting speculation, but I don't think that's any way to live a life. I'm just trying to do the right thing every day, it's what I'm trying to do as a Senator from New York. I also think that it's great being part of winning team! I loved being part of the winning team in '92 and '96, and I look forward to being a part of the winning team in 2004!
What I care most about is Team America. Yes, I'm a Democrat, and I'm proud to be a Democrat, and I believe that we are at a time in history that it's more important than ever to be unified, we have to be up to the challenges we face. One of my great sadnesses about this President is that after 9/11 when he had a chance to unify the county, he chose a different direction, he decided to adopt the old divide and conquer strategy, which has been a losing strategy, and has had unfortunate consequences for Americans."

16. Hillary doesn't seem eager to hold back on her attacks against Bush. |
|
I've got a feeling that the anti-Bush-bashing sentiment doesn't really apply to well said, eloquent points of contention like that of Hillary's, above.
 You GO, Hillary!!!

11. Judy asking about Edwards and Hillary going head-to-head in 2008 |
|
rather than Kerry winning in 2004. Woodruff pretending that it's the buzz around Washington and her CNN producers who are innocently raising the question.
